Isaiah | 1 comments Hello, I am Isaiah! I still very much in my youth, so I don't really have anything to mention educational or career wise. Meaning I'm very open to any book recommendations y'all have! Furthermore, I can't wait to learn how others around the world view these deep topics and who knows maybe it might impact how I view these topics.

Welcome to this group, Isaiah. It's good to know that some young people are interested in reading nonfiction books.

Majed Binabbas | 1 comments Hi everyone,

Hope all are doing well.

I just joined the group yesterday, and I want to give a brief introduction about myself. My name is Majed Binabbas, I'm 23 years old and from Saudi Arabia.

I started my reading journey about 3-4 years ago, however I would say that I got relatively serious about it a year and a half ago. What began as a learning architecture through books process, has evolved into a daily habit that I love. I read many genres and categories, which include but are not limited to: novels (with a preference to classics), philosophy, psychology, history, and any other book that catches my attention.

I'm excited to be part of this community and participate in discussions and challenges. Please feel free to add/friend my page if you like what you see, I have started reviewing and analyzing each book I finish, and will share my thoughts regularly here as well.

Thank you

Welcome to this group. We are kindred spirits. You might find the topics “Totalitarianism, Authoritarianism vs. Rule of Law” (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...) and “Separation of Religion and Government; Liberty of Conscience and Toleration” (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...) in this group as well as chapters 5 and 6 of my book Reason and Human Ethics (https://www.academia.edu/107899091/Re...) and my forthcoming (2025 or early 2026) book Reason and Human Government of particular interest. Drafts of all but the last chapter (“Case Study: “Political Leadership in the Cuban Missile Crisis”) of Reason and Human Government are posted at https://chicago.academia.edu/AlanJohnson. When I complete this book, I will post a PDF of the paperback edition of it on academia.edu; it will also be available in paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon.

You are welcome to post in this Goodreads group, which I founded in 2014. Before you post anything, however, please review the rules in the Rules and Housekeeping topic.

Suleyman Yucel | 2 comments Hi everyone,

I'm Suleyman, an author with a special interest in political philosophy, modern cultural narratives,
and the psychological mechanisms through which ideology shapes human relationships and moral reasoning.

I joined this group because many of the discussions here — ethics, political systems,
collective belief formation, the influence of rhetoric, and cultural dynamics — overlap closely with
the subjects I work on.

My recent research explores how slogans, digital noise, identity-based narratives, and cultural conflicts
subtly influence behavior, perception, and interpersonal dynamics.

I’m not here to promote anything; rather, I’m here to exchange ideas with people who enjoy thinking deeply
about philosophy, ethics, and the hidden structures that guide social life.

Looking forward to learning from everyone and contributing to the conversations.

Suleyman Yucel | 2 comments Hi everyone,
I'm new to the group and excited to join!

I’ve been thinking a lot about how political narratives shape identity and public life.
Curious to hear from you:

Which political philosopher has influenced your thinking the most — and why?

Looking forward to learning from the discussions here!
