☼ Summer Break ☼ {Semi-Advanced RP} discussion
Ivy got up and decided to help him serve the food so that he could answer his questions. He seemed actually interested, and that fascinated her. "I seriously have no idea about the paper thing, but as far as I know, she's been blind her whole life. It's not something that we talk about though," she said, getting food for herself and then starting to set out the buns and condiments and such for everyone else. "I doubt that you will, but you should get to know her sometime, she's pretty amazing," she told him.
Vee was going to sit down but when he heard some guy shout out to everyone about food she asks both Fate and Etain "I'm going to some food, want me to bring you two something?" She just wanted o be nice, like she always is. She wouldn't mind since it would be on her way. Plus she heard the other girl was blind so she wanted to help her. But she wasn't even sure if shes right or not, that still didn't matter to her.
Colton sat up and grabbed himself a plate and put a hotdog and burger on it. He put ketchup and mustard on both his hotdog and hamburger. He walked over to his chair and placed it on the table In front of his chair. "Huh, well that's pretty amazing thing to do, if you think about it," he said and glanced over at Fate. He walked over to the cooler and grabbed out another beer. He walked over to the table and sat down in his chair. "Get to know her? I don't know, we will see," he said to Ivy. He opened up his beer bottle and put the cap down next to him. He grabbed his hamburger and took a bite out of it. Colton wasn't really the kind of person to be interested in people. People were more interested in him then anything. But, three girls striked his interest; Charity, Ivy and Fate.
Ivy laughed a little when he opened his either third or fourth beer, she'd lost track. "Careful there," she said smiling. She wasn't ever this open around people, but for some reason around him, she just couldn't seem to shut up. She was usually pretty guarded until she got comfortable around someone. "And yeah, I guess that I didn't except you to," she said, after taking a bite of her hamburger. She didn't understand why he was even still making an effort to talk and hang out with her when he seemed to be so cold and hate people so much. She sighed, "Can I ask you something?" she asked, but didn't wait for a response before asking, "Why are you even still talking to me? Haven't I annoyed and or bored you to tears already?"
"Alright" she says to Etain. Vee leaves her drink after taking her second sip and goes to get her a bit. But he changes her mind in eating a hotdog or a hamburger and decides to get something sweet. She was in the mood for chocolate and it didn't seem like their was any here. She turns to leave to the house, hoping fate wouldn't think she left her on purpose. She was just heading to her room to get some chocolate she had stashed away in closet.
((Shoot sorry, I'm back for a bit.))Fate listened to everyone. "I'm not hungry. Thanks though Etain." Every now and then she felt eyes on her, and she would continue staring out. These people were going to know soon enough, much less guess. All Fate wanted to do was sob, and hide, but she knew she couldn't. After a little bit she turned to Etain, "Don't drink too much. I heard it damages your health." Fate could smell the beer everywhere, and knew it would sink into her clothes. She knew if it didn't come out, the outfit would be trashed before she got home. Her mother would kill her. Fate smiled, and turned back to the water, "Chlorine and Beer. A weird mix for me, preferably." She was quiet, but needed to talk to someone before she went out of her mind. Ivy was busy. Ivy was really her only friend besides Eleanor.
Fate was worried people knew that she was blind, and she was out of her mind worried that people knew. They treated her differently, and she hated it. She was another human, gosh. She shook, as she thought about what they must have been thinking. They must have already known. They're not stupid. But then again, Ivy didn't know right away. Fate had to tell Ivy. She wasn't sure anymore, but hoped they didn't know. Fate knew they would avoid her. She was awkward, and too much work. People hated her... Right?
Fate didn't believe people when they said her heart was easy to reach, and break. They always acted like she was a fragile china doll who didn't know anything. Fate obviously didn't believe that, but in reality, she was a lot like a china doll. Pretty, fragile, sweet, and sometimes oblivious.

Colton lifted up his head. He finished swallowing his hamburger. He tilted his head to the side. "I don't even know... I guess.. I'm just dealing with it, need to get use to people sooner or later," he said to her. Colton was definitely getting drunk. He would Never, and I mean never explain to someone on how he was feeling. He took another sip of his beer and then another bit of her burger. His body felt light, his mood felt happy, and everything around him was just heightened. Colton looked over at Charity to see what she was up to. She didn't say much to him, other then a simple hey. Was she mad at him? Was she upset with him? Colton couldn't tell but, he felt bad for what happened between them last night.
Fate smiled, "Thanks. I haven't met anyone else with the name yet." When Etain mentioned worried, Fate realized her hands were shaking. Clamming the together, trying to stop, she blushes. "You're not mean. I'm... not good with people. I can barely talk to two people, much less go to a party. This is completely new to me." After a while she adds on with a shaky laugh, "I'm afraid of water, people, drinking, and such. But yet here I am." She tried to calm her nerves, taking a deep breath. "Is this normal for you? Hawaii, parties, that kind of thing? I need to calm down, so tell me about yourself."
"Oh I see, so I'm just here for you to deal with then? Your experiment on getting used to people?" she asked, not exactly mad, well, not mad at all actually. She just didn't enjoy being used was all. He was obviously just using her to get his mind off that girl that he kept looking at. Ivy didn't even know her name, but she wasn't paying him the slightest bit of attention. She sighed, seeing that he was obviously lost in thought about her again and that kind of bugged her. He was talking to her, not that other girl, and to talk to the other girl so bad, then he could just get up and leave her by herself. Just like everyone else always did. She sighed again and leaned back in her chair, not even aware that he was getting drunk.

Colton raised his eyebrow and laughed. "What are you talking about? I like talking to you, your pretty cool," he said and watched her lean back in her chair, getting a little pissed off at him for some reason. He noticed that she looked over at Charity. The he figured it out. Him, also, leanings back in his chair, taking a sip of his beer. But, Colton leaned back too much. The chair started to tip over. The front legs started to lift off of the ground. Then the chair moved Colton felt unbalanced and ended up falling backwards off his chair, the beer came crashing down on him and spilt all over his face and chest. "Ahh! Fuck!" He shouted to himself.
Fate thought about it. What was there about her? "What about me?" She was almost going to start in on where it began. Her mom drinking, and father leaving, but she couldn't bring herself to say it. She rarely thought about it, much less tell an almost stranger her story. "I guess, I begged my mom to let me go. She was worried, but I eventually changed her mind. She swirled her feet in the water, "I got here, and now I'm just nervous. I've never been around people, and new places scare me." She looked away and stood up. "I should probably go get to work on my paper, but I'd like to chat sometime. Thanks."
Fate walked over quietly to her chair. Within seconds of sitting down, she went back to punching letters. This paper had to get done, and it was a distraction from the people all around her. She felt bad for leaving Etain, but was getting overwhelmed, and too nervous to talk anymore. She figured some work, would get her to calm down.
Fate was smiled softly, when Colton crashed. She almost jumped out of her skin when Colton screamed, and the chair collapsed. She wasn't expecting that. She gave a nervous giggle and pushed up her sunglasses. "Are you okay?" She asked him from where she sat.
Ivy bit down hard on her lip to hold in laughter and instead she shook her head and sighed, standing up and offering him a hand. "You are so drunk, come on," she said, smiling a bit, "I'll take you inside if you want to, we don't have to stay out here." She smiled a bit more, thinking about how he'd called her cool, but she didn't know if that was him, or the alcohol talking. She didn't think that she was cool, and no one else did either, so she figured he'd only said it because he was drunk and he didn't know what he was saying really.
Colton coughed up some beer that got down his throat and when down the wrong way. He took Ivy's hand and stood up, trying not to stumble on his own feet. He rubbed the back if his head and groaned. "Oh no, I'm good," he told Fate. He looked over at Ivy and grinned. "You know, you would make a good mother," he said while slurring over his words. "I can stay outside, I'm fine, trust me," he said and bent down and picked up his chair. He sat down on his chair and looked around. "God I stink," he said sniffing himself. He spelt like beer. He loved beer, but, he always disliked the smell of it.
Ivy sat down again in her chair, though she was unsure of if he was really alright. "A good mother? Where the hell did that come from?" she asked him, smiling a little, as she took his beer and moved it out of his reach. "And yes, you do stink, but I wasn't going to say anything," she said, "So, no more beer for you tonight, okay?" She smiled a bit more, watching him and realizing how drunk he really was. Sure she was worried about him, but it was funny. She didn't know why people couldn't just keep it to one beer. That's what she always did, if she even drank at all.
Fate sighed and stood up. "No, he's too drunk. He's going to get hurt, or hurt someone." She didn't want to help him, he seemed like all of the other guys that had taken advantage of her, but she felt she needed to help. Standing up, she walks over to Ivy. "Let's take him inside. I'll help. I know what to do for an alcoholic." She had helped her mother when she was drunk. Fate knew what to do. Walking over, she grabs Colton's arm. "You need to come with me. We need to sombor you up. You're too drunk." She tells him slowly, and clearly. She had bought water, lots of bottles of water. Fate knew something like this would happen. She was always helpful like this. She liked helping people.
"Woah, relax, she was only trying to help, which is more than you've done," Ivy snapped at Charity, instantly defending Fate. She knew that Charity probably didn't deserve to be snapped at, but it just sort of slipped out. She'd ignored Colton all night and now she'd decided that she wanted to pay attention to him. Now of all times. Fate was right, he didn't look so good despite what he was saying, but she knew that he was a big boy and he could handle himself. "Look, okay, everything's fine," she said, a little softer, just wanting to go away now. She's had fun with Colton while it had lasted, but now she was seriously considering running inside to be alone in her room. She didn't want to be apart of this argument.
Akaycia smiled and looked down at the water herself, “I’m Akaycia. Don’t worry, I’m awkward too.” She said, slowly swinging her legs through the water. Looking up at the sky, she was glad she’d met so many people here so far. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and she’d been able to make it one of her own. “It’s kind’ve annoying how everyone’s fighting, don’t you think?” She said, sighing as she looked over at the groups of people just arguing with each other. She wasn’t surprised to see Colton over there, but she hoped he didn’t get into anything physical again. He’d already gotten into a fight yesterday, she didn’t want to break out the ice pack again. He was like a bigger brother to her anyways, she didn’t like seeing him hurt. Or drunk.
Akaycia frowned and looked over at the drunken state of Colton once more, sighing and leaning back as well. “I totally get it. That’s why I’ve never drank...” She shrugged, looking out at the pool to see that it wasn’t totally crowded. It seemed that some people just didn’t want to get wet and would rather be drinking or stuffing their faces. Akaycia was the type of person who would always point out the good in a situation, “Hey, at least nobody’s in the pool. We should get in!” She said, an excited look on her face. Even if she appeared to be wearing a little sundress, she was wearing her bikini underneath it. Also, Etain seemed like a nice girl. Then again, Akaycia got along with practically everyone. Come on, she’d made friends with Colton of all people. Maybe it was just her weird and awkward nature.
Colton narrowed his eyes at Ivy. "Hey, give that back," he said and reached his hands over, trying to get his drink back. He jumped when fate came over and touched his shoulder. "Hey! No touchy," he told her. The way he said it made it sound like Koosco from the The Emperor's New Groove. He then started to calm down a little more when Chairty walked over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. He then noticed some tension going on between Chairty and Ivy. He may not be sober, but he wasn't oblivious. Colton stood up from his chair and arched his arms out, stretching. "Okay guys, no need to get snappy with each other. I won't drink anymore tonight," he told them. For some, odd, unknown reason Fate and Ivy didn't want him to drink anymore. It was an odd feeling. But he just whent with it and said that he wouldn't drink anymore tonight.
"Okay, good, fine, just do whatever you want. I don't care," Ivy said, shaking her head. She looked at Charity and then looked and at Colton and sighed, "I'll go, I'm probably getting in the way of something anyway. I-it was nice talking to you Colton." She took a slow step backwards, not exactly wanting to leave, but she didn't like how possessive Charity was being of him, and Ivy didn't feel like making an enemy that night. She had no idea what was going on between Colton and Charity, but she did know that she wasn't a part of it, and she wasn't wanted at the moment.
Fate practically jumped back when addressed. Addressed? More like yelled at. "I'm sorry." She whispered. "I'm sorry. Sorry. Please, sorry." She bit her lips as it trembled. Luckily, she knew Ivy hadn't left. "Ivy? Can you take me inside?" She walked to Ivy as hot tears started to spill down. She was going to break down, she didn't mean to get people fighting. She didn't want to be yelled at. "Ivy, Ivy, Ivy please." She begged quietly under her breath. She knew she wouldn't be able to make it inside the house if she started crying, and Fate had already started crying. She headed to the door frame, leaning on it, and wanting to head inside the house.
Colton raised his eyebrow at Ivy, Not really understanding why she got so pissed off all of the sudden. It was a party anyways. What did it matter that he was drinking? It's not like he was hurting anyone. "Ivy, Why do-," He stopped himself When he heard Cole's voice. "Great just the guy I wanted to see," He said to himself. He turned around facing Cole. He glanced over at the doorway and noticed that Fate was upset, He must have scared her when he was joking around, telling her not to touch him. Colton put his attention back over to Cole. "What, you have a problem," He asked him. His breath smelled of beer.

Caleb woke up from his slumber. He groaned, tossing and turning in his bed as the light from the windows pierced through his eyelids, making him wake up. "God damn sun!" He said to himself. He opened up his sleepy, blurry eyes, waiting for them to adjust. He looked at his clock. "Shit! Its already 1 o'clock!? Why the hell did I sleep this late," He said to himself. He pushed the sheet off of his body, he stumbled out of bed and need up falling down on the floor, due to the sheet getting caught around his ankle. Caleb slammed his body on the hard floor. "Ahhh!," he said. Laying there for a few seconds. Caleb got up and grabbed his swim trunks and white T-Shirt he ran downstairs. He smelled something amazing. smelt like hotdogs and burgers. Caleb's nose led him outside. He noticed some girl standing in the doorway, she looked upset. Caleb placed her hand on her shoulder gently. "You alright?" He asked in a worried tone. He looked around and noticed there were quite a few people outside. The smell of alcohol pierced through his nostrils. He looked over, shooting a look at Colton, the rude guy who was at the beach the other day. And the girl that was with him. He didn't recognize anyone else other then Colton and Charity.
Fate jerked back when Caleb touched her. She sure wasn't expecting it. "I'm... I'm sorry!" She shook her head, "I'm fine. Fine." Tears were still spilling down her cheeks, her face red. When Ivy lead her to the couch, she felt some relief. She leaned into Ivy, sniffling. Fate didn't mean to get people mad at her, she just wanted to help Colton. He was drunk, and Fate had a soft spot for drunks. She liked to help them out. Because her mother used to be an alcoholic, she just wanted to help. Apparently she shouldn't have tried to help. Fate pushes her hair behind her ear. "People are mad at me, I just want to get away. I didn't mean to." She spoke fast and quite, shaking. "My mom was an alcoholic." She said quietly.
Shh, shh, Fate it's okay," she said softly, glaring at Charity for making her friend cry. She put her arm around Fate's shoulders and turned to lead her inside. "I'll see you around Colton," she said, hoping that she would. She wanted to stay with him, but Fate was much more important to her. "You were only trying to help, it's not your fault," she said softly to comfort her, "She had no right to tell at you like that." She looked up at the guy who had tried to comfort Fate and gave him a sympathetic smile as a thank you for trying to help. Maybe he could, but she doubted it.
Caleb looked at Fate and the other girl that walk her inside. Was she okay? what happened. he said He looked back at to see who the girl was glaring it. It turned out to be Charity. He walked over to the table and grabbed a handful and chips and into the house where Ivy and Fate where. He sat down on the floor, not wanting to intrude, or make Fate jump again. He was just worried and wanted to know what happened to make her so upset. He started to much on his chips before he said anything to them. "What happened?" He asked.
"It...it really is nothing, I mean, it's kind of my fault ," Ivy told him, surprised that he'd come back to help. "Colton got drunk and fell out of his chair, so I suggested that we go inside, but he said he was fine, so I didn't push him. Then Fate said that he really should go inside, and Charity jumped in, shouting at us to leave him alone," she told the guy sitting on the floor, "He's been hung up ok her all night for some reason, and then she finally decided to jump in and pay attention to him." She sighed and crossed her arms over her chest, leaning back into the couch. She didn't even know why she was telling him all of this, it's not like he could help.
"I just tried to help him." Fate murmured softly. "He was too drunk for his own good. He was going to hurt himself, or get someone else hurt. He needed to sombor up. But everyone got mad at me." She wipes her tears, curling up on the couch. "I bet they didn't know my condition, and that my mom was an alcoholic. I don't like drunks." Fate looked up carefully at Caleb. "Who are you?" She asked quietly, she didn't want to be rude, but she didn't think she knew him. "Are you mad at me? I feel like everyone's mad at me." She takes off her sunglasses, rubbing her eyes. They were red now, from crying, and she had a headache too. she didn't like upsetting people, or being upset.
Ivy frowned and rubbed Fate's back to comfort her, looking at the guy on the floor for an answer. She really just wanted to take Fate up to her room and be with her until she felt better, but this guy actually seemed concerned and seemed like he cared at least a little bit, so she didn't push him away. "Of course he's not mad at you Fate, and I'm not either, and I'm sure that Colton isn't," she said softly, "Just because Charity yelled at you doesn't mean that everyone is mad at you."
Fate smiled softly, looking down. "It's hard being blind. Every word I hear, I can perceive much differently than the person intended it to be. Plus, I'm not great with people, so it's always hard for me to tell who's angry for now." She sighed as she wiped her eyes. She had stopped crying, which was good. "I'm sorry Ivy. I shouldn't have freaked out. You should have to listen to me sob either." She addressed Ivy, and the guy on the floor. She could still smell the beer, chlorine, grill, and chips. She officially hated parties. And most people. Some people were decently nice though. Like Ivy, Eleanor, and Etain. She wasn't sure about all of them, but figured Colton, the guy on the floor, maybe even Charity might be nice. Maybe it wasn't Charity's day. Maybe not's Colton's either. She gave a small shrug thinking about it. She tried to think on the somewhat bright side.
Colton looked over at Ivy as she left with Fate and some guy following them to the living rom. "See you around Ivy," he said in return. Colton crossed his arms around his chest. "You know Cole, you shouldn't be so possessive over your sister, by the looks of it pisses her off, and me," he told him. He shook his head, annoyed by Cole and his stuck up attitude. The way he drank the beer. Felt like a threat to him. But, he couldn't tell. He was just too drunk to even care at the moment. Colton looked up at the sky and noticed dark clouds, started to surrounding the house. "Shit," He said to himself. "Looks like we need to move this party inside before its starts to downpour on us," he said. He brushed past Cole and grabbed the food on the table. "Cole, make yourself useful and grab the cooler and bring it inside," Colton didn't really feel like beating someone up today. Plus he wasn't sober at the moment; god knows what was going through his head.
~
Caleb looked at Fate giving her and a worried look. "My name is Caleb, and no, I'm not mad at you," she told her. Caleb looked out the door and noticed that Colton started picking up the food. He then looked out the window and noticed it was getting dark. "Looks like there is going to be a thunderstorm," he said. Caleb looked back over at Ivy. He stood up from the ground and smiled at her. "You know, Your a pretty good friend. I'm going to go and help them move stuff inside before they get all wet," He said and started making his way outside. "Need any help man?' He asked Colton.
Ivy smiled a bit at the compliment, deciding that she liked Caleb. "I'm going to be right back, I promise, I'm just going to go and help them bring things inside, mostly because I brought most of it out." She knew that that was only because Colton told her to, but still. "Everyone is going to be coming inside now, so if you want to go back into your room, I'll come with you, okay?" she said to Fate, standing up and heading outside to help. She grabbed a cooler and brought it inside before going out for more. "Need any help?" she asked Colton, or whoever would answer her really.
Fate stood up, and listened to the thunder from far off. She did want to go back to her room, but still wanted to stay. As Ivy brought in the cooler, Fate sat back down. She'd decided she would stay. She needed to have a little more social interaction. She waited patiently, listening to the rain start to pound. It was a calming sound from her, just pattering rain on the concrete and pool. She hoped everyone wasn't soaked, they'd have puddles anywhere. It hit her then that her homework was outside. In the rain. She sighs, and waited till someone came in again before asking, "Could you please bring my stuff in for me? It's homework, and it's probably wrecked by now."
Alex smiled and walked in, her smile dropping slightly when she saw it was raining. "It's raining? Aww, that sucks!" She laughed and shrugged, "Hey who cares, I'll just hang out here with you guys." She smiled and gave a half wave at everyone in the room. "I'm Alex!" She said in a bubbly voice. Maybe she was already drunk. She wasn't, but she almost acted like she was. "Did it just start raining?" She asked, watching people bring in food and such. She walked over and frowned at the beer. As she dug around in her bag she pulled out a Margarita. She loved that you could buy almost anything in a can now! Alex giggled as she opened it and sipped it.
Rowen walked to the pool and sees Akaycia talking to another girl. " дорогой" Rowen says loudly. He smiles when he see a few people turn their heads. Rowen took his shirt off and set it down on a chair.
Natasha ~ Life in Black and White ~ wrote: "Alex smiled and walked in, her smile dropping slightly when she saw it was raining. "It's raining? Aww, that sucks!" She laughed and shrugged, "Hey who cares, I'll just hang out here with you guys...."Jason glanced up at the pale gray sky and felt the cool raindrops fall upon his face. He frowned. He looked back to Alex, who was drinking something in a can and socializing with the partygoers. Judging from what she had said inside, he was 99.9% sure that it was something alcoholic. As she jumped around and talked to people, Jason stood behind her, unsure of whether to jump in on the conversation or not. After awhile, he stopped following Alex and stood to the side. He pulled out his phone and flipped up his hood to protect his head from the rain. Normally, Jason would've been running around and mingling with the others, but for some reason, he didn't feel like it. Maybe he was sick or was just having another moody day, but the feeling felt bizarre and foreign; almost like high school again. Everyone already had a particular group to talk to and most of them were already associated with one another. Jason shuddered at the memory but quickly focused on his phone again. It was confirmed. Jason wasn't used to parties at all.
Fate waited and hoped someone would grab her homework. If it was soaked, and wrecked, she'd have to start over on it for the third time. She sighed and leaned back into the couch she was on, waiting for someone to talk to her. She was obviously wasn't going to ask again for her homework, because that would seem weird, but she really wanted her slate, and stylus. She made sure her sunglasses were on as more people came in, also knowing she still was red from crying minutes ago. If it wasn't brought to her, she would definitely ask Ivy to get it. She sighed again, looking down at her hands. She wasn't going to talk to anyone, just wait. She was too shy, and too ashamed of her being blind.~~~
Alex smiled and set her can on the side of the pool as she took off her outfit, revealing her swimsuit underneath. "Hey guys!" As hearing the previous conversation, she smiled and added on, "My favorite movie is White Christmas. Breakfast at Tiffany's is probably in my top ten though." She dove into the water, and giggled when she popped back out of the water, "Sorry," She added as she swam over, "I wanted to talk to some people." Alex looked at the guy, and the two girls in the pool with her. "I'm Alex."
Colton walked over to the table and grabbed the chips and dip. He brought it inside and placed it on the counter in the kitchen. Colton looked at Charity as she walked inside with a beer. Not even caring to help bring things inside. He smirked to himself and walked over to the large plate of burgers and hotdogs. He looked over at the girl that just walked outside. Colton didn't really have time to make small talk with this girl.. He's been doing it all day and didn't like it. He looked over at Caleb and nodded. "Sure, gab some stuff off the table and bring it in the kitchen," he told him. Colton looked up at the sky and saw a flash of lightning. Right after that a clash of thunder roared through his ears. The rain starting to come down after and harder. Colton made a disappointed look on his face when the rain came down. He was really trying to avoid getting soaked.
Ivy frowned when Colton completely ignored her, and started to think that he was being a bit if a jerk to her, but she wasn't sure why, and maybe that was just how he was. Maybe it was jut the alcohol, she wasn't sure, but she didn't want to be near him anymore. She quickly grabbed Fate's work before the downpour and she quickly gave it to her. "I just barely saved it," she said, smiling a bit and kind of proud of herself. She gave her the special pen and sat back on the couch, wanting someone to talk to since Fate was doing her work and she didn't want to bother her.
(view spoiler) Colton walked into the house, dripping wet.......
((Guys can we move to the house thread? ))
Rowen walked up to the girls " Hey my дорогой," Rowen said as he sat next to her. He looked at the girl that was in the water "Hello my name is Rowen and your?" Rowen asked the girls name. He leaned over and kissed Akaycia on the neck he really liked this girl next to him.
