Well, as you can guess... I'm not caught up. Who could guess??

I was caught up last week and just let the week slip by.

I'm so close.....

Jane (janehex) I am going to read this chapter tonight. I really do like this book, I have learned quite a lot and I like the subject. It's an interesting one and I think the writer added a missing piece to the American story that is rarely focused upon so specifically. I would love to hear what everyone else thinks.

Nancy | 41 comments I am finally up to Ch 8. Really enjoying reading about Trumbull, he is the most interesting to me up to this point.
Although it's a minor detail, for some reason I found it fascinating that Copley, a Bostonian, was married to the daughter of the merchant of the tea in the Boston Tea Party. It's an insignificant detail but I never really thought about who owned the tea in such a significant historical event. I think Copley would have been more successful if he had returned to America, but I understand they couldn't recover his property at Beacon Hill, and his wife did not want to return.
Will try to get through Ch 8 this week.

I also finally got myself caught up. I just want to say that Jefferson is still a huge... pile of crap in my mind. Wow.
