I'm currently reading The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down: A Hmong Child, Her American Doctors, and the Collision of Two Cultures.
It has been an interesting read so far. I don't know much about the Hmong culture, so I really appreciate that there is a lot of history embedded in the book. It's almost like an ethnography, but tackles the tough issue of traditional versus westernized medicine.

mindstorm is by Papert about using tech more creativly
steam is stem + art

Currently reading this. Would be good for high school - occasionally uses language that "pushes" things a bit but would not be a problem for most. Excellent explanations, humorous, funny illustrations and great analogies. She also has a useful website at http://www.beatricebiologist.com/
