Tricia Douglas (teachgiftedkids) | 13 comments I know this is vague, but I'm trying to help a friend find a particular series. She asked me this:
"Do you happen to know the name of an author, who writes mysteries in the modern west, and has a female detective as the main character?"
I know a lot of books but this one stumps me. I think I need some help here.
Thanks!

Tricia Douglas (teachgiftedkids) | 13 comments All my friend said was that it took place in the West. So it could be AZ.

Lena Jones Mystery series by Betty Webb- Steph's suggestion - https://www.goodreads.com/series/5241...

Tricia, please add plot details (and genre) to your topic header using the edit link on the full desktop, not mobile, website. This will help people searching for books. Just ask if you'd like assistance with this.

Tricia Douglas (teachgiftedkids) | 13 comments I think the Kinsey Milhone books might be it! I'll check that out

Tricia Douglas (teachgiftedkids) | 13 comments Sorry but I can't give plot details or anything else because we don't know any! It's pretty much basically what I said in the intro. Sorry for being so vague, but the Sue Grafton books might be IT!

Tricia Douglas (teachgiftedkids) | 13 comments Sorry for being so vague, but nothing is known about these books, just what I described in the header. But I think all of you have helped greatly and the Sue Grafton books might be the ones! Give yourself a pat on the back. Thanks so much! If these books aren't the ones I'll be back!

Tricia Douglas (teachgiftedkids) | 13 comments It's not the Sue Grafton books. I will see if it's the Betty Webb books though. I'm not familiar with those.

Added plot details to the topic header. This will make your thread stand out, and help people who might recognize your book right away.

Stephen (swynn68) | 87 comments This could be any of dozens of series. The website "Stop You're Killing Me" might be a good resource for possibilities: it lists mystery series by geographic location:

I see six or seven possiblities in Wyoming alone.

I notice your thread is marked Solved, Tricia. What's the title and author of your book?

message 18: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Douglas (teachgiftedkids) | 13 comments I don't think I'll find it for my friend because she didn't give me enough info. I thought for sure it was the Sue Grafton books. So For the sanity of all, I'll just mark it more or less done! Stephen did give me another good suggestion and link, so that's my last resort. If I find anything on that I'll let everyone know. Thanks for all the help.
