Oh yeah. I completely agree. What I really liked was we saw people on all sides of the picture. Forgive my vagueness, but it's been a while since I read it. But we met characters from each of the primary groups on board the dirigible, and that really gave a full vision of the issues at stake, each party's desires and goals, and how things just were NOT good. Which also gave us an excellent reason why the divers took the risks they did.
I really enjoyed this book. Different than any other 'dystopian novels'.The characters have so much strength, and perseverance, they use whatever skills they have to keep their community alive against all odds alive and even the 'bad guys/gals'.
The new breed of monsters , terrifyingly awesome. (Darn, I don't remember what they were called). It is one of the very few books I purchased 'live' after I read the Kindle version. Even though I am trying to eliminate most of my books.

More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search for a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to earth long ago.
