Sophie wrote: "If you could go to one of the places in your books which place would you choose & why?"Good question. I think I'd want to visit the planet Arrias in Shadow Wars Homebound. In my imagination it seemed like a cool place as other worlds go.
S.Shade wrote: "How do you choose the names of your characters?"I have a list of names that I come across and I jot them down and I tend to pull from that list. But sometimes I'll start writing a story and the character will whisper his/her name to me so I just roll with it. lol
Brittany wrote: "Does music play a role in your writing process? Do you create playlists for each book you write?"Sometimes if I'm trying for a certain mood or tone in a scene or to get a feel for a character I will listen to music. I did that for The Ballerina & The Fighter, I listened to Coolio's Gangsta Paradise, and Eminem. Where as for The Dancer I listened to Tchaikovsky and Joan Jett lol
But I don't usually create a play list.
Debra wrote: "What or who inspired you to become a writer ?"I've always loved books. But I was one of those people who would rewrite the ending in a book or a movie if I didn't like it or for fun. Then even better I'd just write my own story lol. I started writing before I even realized what I was doing. Even my former profession I was a writer. In another life I used to be a lawyer.
Nicole wrote: "What's the last 5 star book you read?"I listen to more audio books these days I can do that when I'm at the gym or in the car. I don't have a lot of time any more to read books but the last 5 star book I listened to on audio was Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Nicole wrote: "What are you working on next?"I'm working on something that will be out in August. It's part of a paranormal anthology set in New Orleans. My work is a stand alone called The Best Within part of The Creole Nights Anthology. And I'm also working on the second book in my Redemption series, Angela Hunter and the third book in my City of Sin series, The Eventide Hour. lol Yeah I work on multiple projects at a time. Keeps writer's block away :-)
Tanja wrote: "What authors do you like to read? And where do you get your covers? They are so cool."Oh wow I read a wide variety of authors in all the genres I write in including some I don't like historical and YA. Although I don't rule out trying my hand at YA lol
And thank you! Most of my covers are done by Fiona Jayde, the others mostly my NA and romantic suspense covers are done by the awesome Kylie Gray and myself.
Angela wrote: "Where do you find your inspiration?"Pretty much any and everywhere. All i have to do is open any of my senses and my mine does the rest. I'm one of those people that find a story in the rain or looking into an open window. lol that's how Hold On started. I was at a stop light and looked up into an open window and thought 'what if I saw someone being assaulted in that window' I rushed home and wrote the first 4 chapters of the story lol
