Steven Moore I'd celebrate! I get about a 1% return on queries and a 10-15% return after they agree to review. While I try to generate some good karma by reviewing myself--it's a thankless pursuit but I can give back a bit to the community of readers and writers--the good karma doesn't seem to come back to me. My offer is the standard one: a free book in exchange for an honest review.
Yeah, I know the problem. There are more good books and good authors every day, but fewer readers too, and even fewer reviewers. You wouldn't believe the latter by looking at GR, but it's true. It's a great time for readers, not so much for authors.
