Dii How did you know she was switched with a mundane girl . I thought she was ill that's why her ruins didn't work on her ..Where did they mention she was switched ?

Chris - Maybe that's my hypothesis, but I remember from the previous book that kids get switched and from the first book that runes are painful but bearable. It was never mentioned that runes caused that much damage to the body, or else wouldn't Jem, Will, Charlotte, and other Shadow Hunters have disabled arms as well ?

I read the prologue twice before I started piecing things together lol

That explains a lot of things like why Nate
wasn't a Shadowhunter or why Tessa born alive...
