Fishface | 12668 comments Just picking the right name is not enough! You have to say HOW he's different from the others:

A) Henri Desire Landru
B) Adolfo de Jesus Constanzo
C) Christopher Wilder
D) Patrick WAYNE Kearney
E) Jack Unterweger

Jay (mrisolatedalienated) Henri Desire Landru.
One of his motives was profit.
He also lured the victims from ads in the papers.

Just on a historical note.
I love the change in this method.
50 years ago you had Albert Fish, Landru, Kiss, Lake and Ng, and several other serial killers luring their victims or meeting their victims through paper ads.

Now we have facebook, twitter, instant messenger, backpage, etc.
All of those have been used to lure victims/meet victims.

Serial murder does not change. Just adapts with each new advancement at the time. Not just serial but ordinary murder as well.

Fishface | 12668 comments Half a point! Landru is the correct killer, but you did not mention the difference I am looking for. Anyone? Other guesses?

(FYI, Constanzo also had a profit motive.)

Lo sé!

I think I know, mate!

I know for sure!

Ich bin fast sicher, dass ich es weiß!

Jay (mrisolatedalienated) Constanzo was also a ritual killer who sacrificed people for his religion.

Landru was in the early 1900s.
They never actually found the bodies of his victims.

I'll say to cover up another crime? Such as robbery?

I am going by your definitions you posted on another question.

All I can think of. Although I know of the case I find Landru boring so I don't know a lot about the case. I know his face and the basic facts about the case. Pretty much it. Not every single case is interesting enough for me to study obviously.

Fishface | 12668 comments Constanzo sacrificed people for his religion in order to make the pot ranch he lived on financially successful.

There is nothing subtle about the answer to this question. You can probably get the information you need to answer correctly from Wikipedia. Motive ain't the issue.

Shelley | 1225 comments A) Henri Desire Landru

No bodies of victims ever recovered.

Fishface | 12668 comments That's true, but not what I was after! BZZT!

message 12: by Fishface (new)

Fishface | 12668 comments OK, I'm getting impatient with this easy question. The answer is that Landru is the only killer who only killed in the country where he was born. Unterweger was born in Austria and killed both there and in the USA; Wilder was an Aussie who killed there and in the USA; Kearney and Constanzo were both norteamericanos who killed people in Mexico.
