Will movie producers change the ending of Allegiant?
I thought the end was kind of quick as well so I hope they at least embellish it some if they don't change it.
If they change it I will kill them! They already changed too much!
If they do change it, I will be so disappointed. I think the ending of Allegiant is what separates it from every other final book and what separates Veronica Roth from other authors; she took a risk. Many other authors would be scared to do that with their last book, but Veronica ended it perfectly. If they change the ending to suit the movie-goers that haven't read the book, I think it would be a huge injustice to both the fandom and Veronica Roth.
@Ishbel I agree. Us book fans normally get annoyed when the film doesn't follow the book. even if the ending's super sad, it would be wrong to change it
Yeah, I'd rather have a sad ending because Tris dies than a sad ending because they didn't do it properly. PS what does everyone think about the Uriah casting and the new 'Edgar' character??
I much rather a movie that completely follows the book, well at least follows it as much as they can, so i would definitely be super disappointed if the change it
yes even if it does mean im going to sit there crying over it AGAIN when the movie comes out
It would be almost a pleasure to cry again, as long as they get the film right!
I am with you on that, i am willing to cry over her death more than a million times than have them change the movies any more than they have or plan to
@Ishbel. I agree with you 100%. Of they change the ending to please the ones that didnt read the books then it would not be fair to the ones who did. Veronica Roth did the right thing buy taking a risk and she ended it perfectly. I wouldn't go see the film if they change it. What if they add another character to Allegiant?
If they add another character to Allegiant I'll probably snap. They've brought my expectations for Insurgent way down, and if they try to touch Allegiant with their new characters and 'fresh ideas' then I probably won't see it :(When I was reading Allegiant, I was getting irritated when Juanita got too close with Tobias, so I don't even know how I could handle Edgar snooping around with Tris. I wish they hadn't bothered :(
@Ishbel I know right. I was so mad when I found out that Edgar will be added to Insurgent. One of the reasons that I love this trilogy is that it doesn't have a cheesy love triangle. If they do add new characters to Allegiant, I hope that it will only be minor characters.Thanks for all your responses :)

I personally loved the ending of the book... no, I did not love that Tris died or that Tobias now has to live without her... but it was the perfect ending for this series! It stayed true to her character and the person she was becoming throughout the whole series. I don't think they will change it... it would be too hard to pull off, rewriting the ending and all. If they do change it... I will not be happy!
I hope not. I love the ending except Tris dying of course. But I want them to stay true to the book, I hope they do. I will not be a happy fangirl if they change it, I will be very disappointed. But I will probably still like the movie.
I did NOT like the ending in Allegiant it was to fast. Veronica should have tried to (in my opinion) make it a little more dramatic.
The only part I am looking forward to in alleignt is the last part where ----- you know what happened.Some people are saying they are going to change the way she dies. I mean that is just ludicrous. And that Edgar charecter I want stab with a butter knife.

I could fill a whole book with things I would and will do to Edgar if he messes with tris and a few words to the producer too.
The thing about the ending is that I didn't expect it, I didn't want it, but I respected it. It's always hard when a favorite character dies, especially a main character. Despite that, it's almost a necessary evil. I can imagine the movie correcting this to appease the masses, but that would be a mistake. As for the wrap up with Tobias having a part-time job selling paper or being an ambassador or something, that not only felt rushed, it felt off key.
I honestly hope that the change the ending. It broke my heart to read I don't need to see it again on the big screen.
They better notNo one likes what happened, but it was a really powerful ending and it was perfect.
i really hope it doesn't get changed or that would defeat the whole purpose of veronica writing the book :((i mean if they added more details it would be fine, since it was a bit too quick

Even though the ending wasn't what everyone wanted DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE ENDING. If they do, the epilogue will get screwed up too.

I totally agree! Christina doesn't have a compatible personality with Tobias!! She wasn't that annoying but she should find someone else!!! I mean I feel bad but not that bad for her!!! That's just WRONG!
Well they will probably change up some parts of Allegiant since they've already changed Insurgent #edgarmustdie

I think someone should just tell the movie producers to READ THE BOOK and strictly follow it so the whole fandom doesn't throw eggs at them ^^

They can't change it! Even thow it was a sad ending it is still the story.
They should NOT change it. I know it was sad, but was the end of TfiOS change? Nope. Nopers. They are already changing so MUCH about Allegiant, that it's also going to affect Allegiant. Changing the ending of the ENTIRE series would make me flip. Like I would go and hunt down the producers.
Some people say that if she survives, the trilogy will be compared to the hunger games. Honestly, Katniss is pretty much death. It's like Katniss and Peeta are so confused about themselves and they hardly love each other. If Tris survived, she would live happily with Tobias. It wouldn't be anything like the hunger games. But I respect Veronica and her choice. After all, this ending is still an amazing end to such a great series.
The movie producers would probably change most of it or at least make her a hero. Authors sometimes don't care about the reader's opinions. They write the book the way they want it. On the other hand, movie makers want money and they will make the ending more likable. Obviously. There were some things that I didn't like about the ending but I think that Veronica has built a great character who finally learned the true meaning of sacrifice. I just feel like shit for Tobias to be left behind like that. It was sad, but a great and unique ending.
