I think that is the first and last time I will ever be called nimble in my whole life haha

The secret is the 4:1 ratio of female mods to men. Having the token Y chromosome balances things while my double-X compatriots do all the heavy lifting. :)

I know the subliminal message was that we are your work donkeys, you just tried to use your Jedi mind trick *shifty eyes*

Really I'm just happy that people know my name, this weekend a Doc I've known for 10 years asked my name and title in the middle of a difficult airway (granted I was wearing a face shield and mask but dude I basically grew up here)... and another nurse called me Muriel lol

Haha it's always kind of funny and kind of sad when that happens. I work in an office of 3 people. The bigwig is here two or three times a week and I've even delivered paperwork to his house on several occasions. Last week he said "your name is Niki.... right?" After 3 years, we have some progress.

This is a bad boss. How difficult is it to remember the name of the team?
Actually, I get absolutely mad about this superficial behavior. I am close to scream at the screen. Unacceptable!
I would offer a visit to the nice man Niki. Ready, set, go!

I'd rather the CEO didn't know my name...she makes it a point to meet every single one of her employees which means I had to travel an hour to headquarters for a 5 min sit-down meeting with her of just small talk...

But yeah, 3 employees and 3 years - that's ridiculous.

To be honest, I think it's a senility thing. But your solidarity makes me very appreciative ^_^. I admit it threw me back a bit, lol.

lol these comments make me feel good now! He was pretty embarrassed when I said my name and said "oh, shit where have you been! I'm so sorry!" The one who called me Muriel is just an idiot

I've always had this happen to me at work, and it's become a joke at this point between me and my colleagues that it's because I'm so pale that I camouflage into the walls and have a forgettable face lmao.

Thanks, Niki

message 73: by Solseit (new)

Solseit | 1516 comments That is a great book. I almost feel like I want to re-read it soon. But tonight is too soon for me!

As a side note, I just finished Skullsworn and it was an amazing ride. I miss the Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne and I was really tempted to re-read the series. Better said, I will re-read the series sooner rather than later! Anyone interested?

message 74: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments I'm actually going through the emporers blade right now as a matter of fact I was really interested with the story and it seems to have a different setting so I'm liking it so far

message 75: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments And for some reason I can't spell emperor correctly

message 76: by Solseit (new)

Solseit | 1516 comments Just blame it on the phone!
I am glad you are liking it though! I have not been thinking about it recently but I will add the series to my top 10 fantasy reads because of the intricacy and uniqueness of the world building. Impressive in my opinion!

message 77: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments Yeah I like the idea of 3 children of the emperor goes separate ways to learn what is needed to survive in the empire and I am wondering how it will develop since right now I'm favouring Kadens viewpoint and I haven't seen much of Adare yet and Valyn he's good but I prefer his brother

I liked Skullsworn. The first half was really slow but the second half and especially last quarter was terrific.

You will get more of Adar in book 2, enjoy, an excellent trilogy.

It doesn't work. I've tried on PMing multiple people, half and quarter star ratings, subfolders for the forums, a better UI for managing forum folders.............

Some larger groups the mods have their own closed group just to talk about mod stuff. I guess it saves the main group having so much admin discussion.

message 85: by Margret, Caladan Brood Face (new)

Margret | 3168 comments Mod
The group is getting pretty large and maybe in the future we should do that... but really GR needs to pull up their panties and actually listen to suggestions for once. I guarantee every big group like this is having the same issues

message 86: by Angela, I'm Silverfox lost (new)

Angela | 3694 comments Mod
Absolutely. The PMing multiple is something I thought they could fix fairly easily. Though, I'm no computer whiz. You can broadcast messages to your whole group, so why not PM a few people.
