Whaaat?! Can your sister make me a mist cloak too? That is awesome.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 1578 comments We've been thinking that we should improve them and sell them. She's great at costumes.

message 55: by Kayleigh (new)

Kayleigh | 26 comments Margaret , I own Prince of Fools and Prince of Thorns but I couldn't really get into Prince of Thorns. I want to finish it but I put it on hold for now. Do you suggest finishing the Broken Empire series before starting Prince of Fools or are the series separate enough that I can just jump in?

Nimrod Daniel (nimroddaniel) | 171 comments Currently listening to The Crimson Queen by Alec Hutson. It's a really a good take on classic epic fantasy.

Reading Evil is a Matter of Perspective: An Anthology of
Antagonists
. I've read a few really good short stories. So far best stories were by Marc Turner, Jeff Salyards, Courtney Schafer and Shawn Speakman. It's not out yet, though. It's a great opportunity for me to check out a lot of authors I have on my tbr.

Wellllllll... I DNF'ed Broken Empire during book #2. Decided to take a chance on Prince of Fools and was pleasantly surprised! So I support the DNF option, but your choice should be your own of course

I've been a dance costumer and have sewn apparel for a while now Jenna, so mistcloak is right up my alley. I know lots of people on nerdy costuming threads I've partaken in have said they have trepidation because Brandon said he's yet to see a mistcloak that has done his vision justice. That makes me want to make one even more in fact. But the yardage on the "streamers" would be unreal.

Wow. I'm just going to quit before I overdose you guys on nerd here 🤓

That's so cool. You could be the first to make a good mist cloak and show it off to him!

Welp, I read a non-fantasy book for Pride Week... Tipping the Velvet. Let's just say the writing was well done, but I'd rather it had been more about being a Victorian-era male impersonator on the stage, rather than just one or two chapters of it. The rest was all romance. And now I've had my fill on romance for the year, let's get back to the torture scenes and twisted court intrigue

If Margret refs to you as Septa Unella don't pack a suitcase, just run, far away and never look back.

Oh man that last episode of the season.... that was award winning in my mind. Even her costuming transformation into Lord Tywin... sigh I need to re-watch.

Wait... is Cersei your favourite character? 0.o Because she's my favourite and I haven't met anyone yet, who understands why :(

Tyrion was before he started getting drunk and asking people "where whores go"

Tywin also was, before that thing that I won't talk about.

It's hard to decide, there's so many greats.. like Serr Bronn with his loose morals, Dreamboat Jon.

As for the show Cersei was the star of the season hands down

message 66: by Angus (last edited Jun 15, 2017 02:39PM) (new)

Angus | 152 comments Ahh I've also gone off Tyrion a bit recently, but I agree.... The last season Cersei just ran the whole show! She's always been my favourite, which is probably why A Feast for Crows is my favourite book in the series, despite being disliked by many :(

I'm reading lots of stuff.

Audio: the Reality Dysfunction
Ebook: A Court of Wings and Ruin
Real book: The Black Lung Captain (still)

After I finish that 40 hour monstrosity on audio I'm going to continue on with the Bunnicula Chronicles, and starting my re-read of Narnia. Gotta get those stats back up and just refresh my brain after all these doorstoppers I'm reading
