But so far it's very descriptive, and that kind of slows down my reading a bit because sometimes certain things just drag on a bit. But it's only the first chapter so I still have high hopes. The first part of this book in beautifully written with a dark chilling atmosphere about it. Its different then the rest of the book. It's my second time reading this book and the beginning will always be my favorite. Jonathan Harker's character's fear is so potent.

I'm not sure how these two were connected if they even are but I've been following this a lot better than the other classics I read. So yay for that. It seems like lucy is either been turned into a vampire or is in the process of it. I wonder if after Dracula killed that dude, he left on the boat and came to wherever Lucy is. (hide spoiler)]

But now we have a for real vampire hunter and it's Van Helsing! I'd wondered where those movies originated from. It's interesting to see how he's trying to get people to believe vampires are real. About little over 50% (view spoiler)[I was so happy when I heard Tim Curry read for Van Helsing. That made listening to the book worth it. I know that wasn't really a spoiler but I do have some spoilers. I loved that a Texan is in the book and was one of Lucy's suitors. I have been enjoying this a lot more than movies but maybe Dracula: Dead and Loving it. I do like that it is written in letters and diaries style. To me it moves the story faster and the full reading cast has helped too, Now I can't wait to see what they will do with Lucy and how they might end her for good. (hide spoiler)]

My audiobook sadly wasn't a full cast but I did like the diary entries and letters! It was a great way to tell the tale.

Yeah, I should have found an abridged version, but I hate missing out on the full story haha!
