I was already suspicious of Walter Elliot. Yes, an innocent person would want to clear their name as soon as possible, but why have a lawyer at all if you're not going to listen to them?
It made me highly suspicious. That's when I began believing something was up with the jury, too. His rationale didn't make sense. What difference was a couple of weeks going to make?
