Trish (trishga) | 212 comments Itunes put out a new version 3 weeks ago and since then I am unable to sync Overdrive books. I have spent HOURS trying to find a solution, to no avail.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Gail Udell | 2 comments Me too - I am limited to mp3 versions that I can access in my overdrive app. Frustrating.

Yes!!!! I've been posting about it just recently. I did not upgrade and all of a sudden my Iphone 5 wouldn't download all the parts of a WMA formatted book. I can't figure out why either. I can only download MP3 now. I did upgrade my Overdrive and Itunes to see if that would help but obviously not. Someone mentioned WMA is Windows Media Player which is owned by Microsoft. Maybe they are making it more difficult for Apple products? Very frustrating. I hope someone can figure out a solution. I want my WMA books back until all books are in MP3 format.

Michael (mobe1969) | 463 comments Apparently it is a known issue that they are aware of and Overdrive are trying to fix:

However Overdrive have announced they are trying to discontinue WMA altogether, and recommend the MP3 format.

Leona | 45 comments The Overdrive book I recently put on landed up in my Itunes music library instead of my Audiobook library. I thought it wasn't on there and almost gave up but then found it , check there it may be there like on mine.

Katie | 2 comments If you're trying to transfer audiobooks to an apple device, this link explains how you can do it without syncing to iTunes. You will still have to have iTunes open though. I hope this helps someone. :)

Susan Coley (redllamamama) | 12 comments idownload books from my library in overdrive. after the lendng period, they disappear (are turned in). I always download feom Overdrive and then move them to itunes. That way when I find a book and might not finish it before the due date, it is itunes for when I'm ready for it.

Mara Pemberton (marapem) | 233 comments Get the OverDrive app for your phone and you will be able to download Mp3 books from your library if your library supplies that service in your area.

Mara Pemberton (marapem) | 233 comments You can also download OverDrive on your computer and you will be able to download books to your computer. This way you can listen to them while you work on your computer. You can only transfer Mp3 books to your phone or iPod.

Katie | 2 comments You can transfer overdrive WMA audiobooks from a computer to an iphone, they will appear in the playlists section of the music program/app on the phone. You need to have overdrive and iTunes on your computer but you don't actually transfer it through iTunes. It's surprisingly easy. This link explains how to do it step by step.

Doris (Dorisk) | 30 comments Thank you soooo much for the overdrive information. I
went to the sight and downloaded it. I've never had it
before. Is there anything I need to know now? Some
secret that is important to know? Thanks so much

Areudit | 1 comments The Windows version of Overdrive does convert WMA to MP3 format in order to move ebooks to Apple mobile devices.

To import any OverDrive Books into iTunes, iPhone, iPad, etc, you may just need to follow this guide.

It's quite easy and useful.

Mara Pemberton (marapem) | 233 comments Just get the Overdrive app from the Apple App Store.
