(view spoiler)[ It’s interesting to see how the angels are in this book. In most books they are they do folder, proctecers of humans. Not in this one! The mom is... I don’t know what she is. But for some reason I don’t think she is schizophrenic. Idk, maybe she knew the angels were coming or something. Also why does Penrith think she can just torture the angel and make him talk? I don’t think that’s going to work. He’s already in excruciating pain and he’s not taking. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ How did Penryn not realize that was a trap? Did she really think it would be that easy? Anyways, I, really liking the book so far. But I do really hope that there is no romance between Penryn and Raffe. That would be kind of creepy. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 16-27
(view spoiler)[ I’m enjoying this book, but I want to know more about the angels and why they are destroying the Earth. And why is her mother there? And I hate how Raffe is keeping the plan from Penryn. That never goes over well in the books! I still don’t know how I feel about the possibility of a romance between Penryn and Raffe. Idk, Penryn just acts so young while Raffe is a who knows how old angel. I usually don’t have a problem with the age gaps but Penryn is kind of acting like a child. 🤷‍♀️ (hide spoiler)]

You would think characters from books would learn from other books not to keep secrets from each other because then everyone is going to cry for several chapters in a row about it. Penryn does definitely act young, I'm surprised Raffe puts up with her (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Why in the world is Penryn’s mother there? I really want to see more of her. She is really entertaining. I’m surprised Raffe’s plan worked. But I don’t trust Laylah all. Wonder how that’s going to work out. Oh and, “You should know I don’t even like you”??? He’s supposed to be some profound angel and all he can up up with is that! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Am I the only one who thinks that ending was completely ridiculous? I mean, Penryn being paralyzed by some scorpion thing while everyone else thinks she dead? And yet she can think clearly in her head and can see everything that is going on. Didn’t anyone notice how her eyes didn’t look dead? At least Raffe finally/kinda showed the he has feelings for her. I might not be as opposed to their could be romance any more. Idk, we’ll see. I hope the next book has Raffe’s point of view. Excited to see what its going to be like for Penryn living at the resistance. (hide spoiler)]
