I am fostering a 6 week old blind, grey tabby kitten. She is so sweet and lovable and I have no idea what to name her. I want her name to be something book related. Does anybody know any female blind characters, or names that reflect her fur color? Or anything geeky related?

Oh my gosh! That's so sweet, I'm so happy for you! I love my cats wayyy too much. (I have 3; Theodore, Lola and Tinkerbell)Names wise, my first cat was grey/ ginger/ white and my mum and dad named her Pebbles (pebbles being a character from Flinstones).
There's Grey Wind from Game of Thrones (although that might be a bit of a mouthful for a kitty).
There are names that also mean 'blind' like Cece or Cecilia.
Personally I quite like Woolf for a cat after Virginia Woolf, probably because it's a bit different :):)

I highly suggest Luna from Harry Potter, that's what I named my kitty :) She's a grey tabby too!
Oh man, everyone has way better ideas than me....I was just going to say Smokey because I suck at names. Or Mouse.
You can name her Lucy. Saint Lucy protects eyes, moreover Lucy from Narnia is an adorable character

Asha means hope. It also sounds like "ash," which is gray.

There's a blind seeress in a game I like called Theresa, which I think would actually be quite a cute name for a cat :) the game is Fable 2, if you're interested!
I have three cats; Jeimi, Brandon (because of Game of Thrones's character since my cat is invalid -he has a bad leg-, and Dracarys (the name for fire in Game of Thrones)I think you should name your cat with something that's value for you. All my pets have their names because is something value for my family and remains us of something.
Church is a grey cat (the mortal instruments), but your kitten sounds immensely sweet- which Church is not. ;)I'd also recommend Beth (Little Women), who wasn't blind but was sick and sweet like your kitten. And earlier someone suggested Asha, which I loved! Beautiful name! Let us know what you pick out :)
Your description reminded me of Jem from the infernal devices, so maybe jem as a short for jemma?
How about Hendrix? There was a movie some time ago where Audrey Hepburn played a blind woman named Suzy Hendrix. I believe the movie was "Wait Until Dark".

Arya after Arya Stark from Game Of Thrones!She's a brilliant character who works very hard to get what she wants and nothing can stand in her way . She went blind for a bit,but she sort of earned back her sight.

I named my cat Albus. Named after Dumbledore of course. I've had to dogs. One named Indi, after Indiana Jones and one named Hedwig, after Harry's owl.

I mean, this might sound a little obvious, but how about Annabeth from Percy Jackson? She's not blind, but her mom is Athena, the goddess of wisdom and all, and somehow Athena is always associated to the color grey in my mind. Or you could call her Athena. Or Artemis, she's really cool too. I also really liked how someone said Asha, or you could have Ash as short for Asha or Ashley.

The Dust Witch in Something Wicked This Way Comes is a cool character, and "Dusty" would match the kitteh's fur...
How about "Keller," or her teacher "Annie," as in The Miracle Worker? They were both blind.

You might not have read this but there's a book called Jennie, she's a grey tabby and it's about her and a white tom cat named Peter. I reccomend reading it, I enjoyed it and sobbed for three hours after I read it, I promise you I'm not over exaggerating I was really emotional. So I say name her Jennie, but I'm sure you could come up with something wonderful for her.Also really geeky name but I've always wanted to name my next cat Zelda. I have two kitties named Majestic and Storm, just thought I'd say their names also.
