Here's one for Valerie ...Belize: The Last Flight of the Scarlet Macaw: One Woman's Fight to Save the World's Most Beautiful Bird
It looks intriguing. Let me know if you're interested. If not, I'll put it on my list.
Here is an author for Equitorial Guinea. Juan Tomás Ávila Laurel
Both of the two first listed titles look interesting. The others appear not to be in English.

I read it in 2013, and rated it 4*. I enjoyed it - although it is right up my alley! ;)
Ah, that was before this challenge and why it isn't listed on the spreadsheet. I will put it on my wish list. Let's see if the mods bring back a challenge task!

Yay! Love it :-) We’ll be updating all countries added during this season on June 1, so you ‘ll see it reflected then 🤗
Could you also list the countries in this thread, too, please? Not the books, but the countries that have been updated. It will help any of us who have a list of our own with books to potentially acquire. Thank you.
Great! I'm excited to see Lesotho (and probably some others) turn green. I did notice one mistake when I was looking through the spreadsheet today. Central African Republic has 3 books, but is still orange.I think I have a book for Macedonia I'll read this summer -- so more progress to come.

It has now been turned green, as have Lesotho (woot, Bucket!) and Namibia (yay, Valerie!).
All countries have been updated in the spreadsheet and in the "Countries Still to Go" thread.

Yay! Well done, one more down...
I cannot see the spreadsheet. Clicking through the link results in a message that I do not have permission to view the file. I have requested access through that link. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Thanks for the help. The link is fixed on my end. That solved a mystery that has been troublesomeLike several others, I am trying to read books written by authors from different countries and the spreadsheet will be helpful.
Mary wrote: " I am trying to read books written by authors from different countries and the spreadsheet will be helpful."Glad it's working for you now.
Remember, the countries of the world challenge is for setting. Yes, authors often write of their own countries, but not necessarily.
I made a long list for myself in February, and am trying to make sure it is current because some things have not been posted in this thread. As I've been ordering books, I need to make sure I'm on the same page as everyone else.In February Tahiti was on the sheet, but is not there anymore. Was it decided Tahiti is not a country?
Elizabeth (Alaska) wrote: " In February Tahiti was on the sheet, but is not there anymore. Was it decided Tahiti is not a country? "I don’t think it was ever on the list—I’ve never deleted anything from the spreadsheet and only remove the country from the “Countries Still to Go” thread once it has turned green on the spreadsheet and it’s not listed there.
However, Tahiti is technically part of French Polynesia which is still orange on the spreadsheet…perhaps that’s what you were looking at when you penciled in Tahiti?
Thanks, Anika. I don’t think I made it up, but it isn’t on the original archived list of countries. I didn’t buy a book, so I’ll be happy to delete it from my list anyway. I have enough choices without it. ;-)
I see what I did. I found a book for French Polynesia written by a Tahitian author. I flipped it in my mind when putting it on my spreadsheet. Thanks, again, for straightening me out.

As long as over 50% page count was in French Polynesia, we're good! I've put it in the spreadsheet and that turns another country GREEN! Go team!
