Steven (goodreadscomstevenkerry) | 138 comments I haven't added a new book title to goodreads in awhile. I'm sure it is quite easy but I am not the swiftest navigator in the goodreads sea. These are my own books I am adding which are already available on amazon. Can someone give me the steps? Thanks!

Jaclyn (jaclyn_w) | 417 comments Hi Steven! If your book has a valid ISBN and publication date, you can add it to the site, here:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/new

If you have any trouble, please feel welcome to reach out in the Goodreads Librarians Group, where one of our knowledgeable site volunteers will be happy to help out!

Steven (goodreadscomstevenkerry) | 138 comments Hi Jaclyn- I went to the link you sent and tried to add the CreateSpace reprint of my preciously published book but after filling out all the info when I tried to Save it it brought up a window that said the book is already on goodreads, It is, but it is out of print and I have self-published it now on CreateSpace with anew ISBN # (which I entered correctly on the form) and new cover art (as those two things were the only requirement indicated by the original publisher in order for me to get the book back out there again). This book is a 3 book trilogy entitled :My Strange Little Oasis. Book One is "The Stranger in the Mirror", so that's the one I'm trying to add to goodreads first. The site only seems to recognize the title, not the fact that it has a new ISBN number. As far as I'm concerned the original version can be deleted as it is no longer available and all rights were returned to me by the publisher (who mainly sells romance, not literary fiction, so it wasn't selling to their audience). I need to know how to get this newly re-published trilogy on goodreads.

Steven (goodreadscomstevenkerry) | 138 comments Hi- well, I guess I'm blind! (But I'm curious; how did they get added if I did not do it myself?) Are books that come out on amazon just automatically added to goodreads or does the author need to get the ball rolling? If they are automatically added then Book 3 (The Passage of the Night) is out now too so that too needs to be added. I will do it myself if it will accept the SAVE and not just say it's already on goodreads (yes, it is... the previously published version which is no longer available!); the CreateSpace version has has a new ISBN number and new cover design per the original publisher's recommendation. The whole trilogy is available in paperback and Kindle on amazon now. Thanks!

Yes, but how quickly that happens is highly variable.

If there are still missing editions, post again with details in the thread I linked, and our wonderful librarians will get you straightened out.
