SOLVED. Four brothers, two sisters, post apocalyptic fiction. [s]

I'm looking for a book I read between 2010 - 2015 I think. I think starts off with two sisters aurviving in a post apocalyptic world - I can't remember why it's that way, I don't think it's zombies though it could be, I'm a bit hazy.
I think they're hiding out in a department store? The rummage streets looking for food and goods.
Somehow they're found by 4 brothers, two still quite young, two late teens / early 20's?
The decide to team up and stay together in the boys car.

During the story the run into some older guys, who guide them to their compound - the girls and the guys are separated into different accomodation, it's all a bit sketchy, and they have to abandon their car and precious petrol to escape.

It's YA, in USA, I can't recall the author or cover - it could have been a novel in a compilation set.
I'm going to source the "love and decay" book for a read, and if it's the one I'll mark this as resolved.

The bit about the compound sounds familiar but I've been through the book's I've read and can't think what it was. Can you remember anything else about the story?

Got it, it's "Love and Decay" by Rachael Higginson! Thanks for the solve all - it's all coming back - the two girls (not sisters as it turns out, just close friends), looting a department store, a weird fixation on finding makeup, meeting four brothers (and a young sister), surviving together, beeing stoped by a quasi military group of rednecks, them trying to seperate the females, abandoning he car - it's exactly what I was looking for.
