Bo is a hilarious guy. One of my favorite comedians. And he wrote a book! Score!!! As soon as I discovered this novel, I HAD to pick it up for myself. So I did. Boy, let me tell you how good of a choice that was.

One thing I learned was how comedy and poetry go together. Before I started poetry, I thought it was all about pretty flowers and emotions, which are two things that I am not very good with. Introduce Egghead, and I'm all over that.

A second thing I learned was when to be funny. Punchlines. Punchlines. Punchlines. The joke is all about the punchline. Everything else is a build up. A good joke is one with conflict, and a climax and resolution. These poems are full of good jokes with exactly that.

A third thing I learned was how to make an impression through comedy. I've always wanted to make people laugh, it's something that I like doing. But I have never really been good at it, nor have I been good at first impressions. So reading this book and understanding how to use comedy to make an impression was very beneficial to me. Trust me, if you read this book, it leaves a solid impression on Bo as a person. He is... interesting, to say the least.
