I just started The Pearl Thief, which is a prequel to Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. If the prequel makes me ugly cry as much as the original, I'm going to need to buy stock in Kleenex.

I'm reading The Drowning King by Emily Holleman.
It's the second installment of a trilogy and it follows the early life of Cleopatra but through the perspectives of her brother and sister.
I am really enjoying it! But I wanna finish it tonight!!! Ahh! So I can start The Handmaids Tale!

I am LOVING it! It's definitely much better than Rose Under Fire, and frankly, I would read pretty much anything featuring Julie. There have been a number of times when my heart has broken over something she's said because I know what will happen eventually.

Love The Handmaid's Tale! I had wanted to reread it before watching the Hulu series - but that just wasn't going to happen. I'm reading two books right now. One YA sci-fi, one middle grade audiobook. So far both are fine, but nothing I would highly recommend (at least not yet - I'm pretty early in to the sci-fi Shadow Run).
It's not currently reading, but what I read most recently that I'd recommend is The Pain Eater by Beth Goobie.

Glad to hear it's better than than Rose Under Fire (that was a disappointment - and I didn't even try to read the other she wrote). Perhaps sometime this summer I'll get to it.
If any of you loved Wonder Woman as much as I did, there is a new YA novel coming out in August called Wonder Woman: Warbringer and it was GREAT!

I just finished the third book in the Court series by Sarah J Maas, Court of Wings and Ruin. I LOVE that series, and book 2 left off on a cliff hanger, so I tore through Book 3!
I just started reading Into the Water by Paula Hawkins, and so far I like it more than I liked The Girl on the Train, so we will see if that keeps up.
I am also listening to Last Rituals by Yrsa Sigurdardottir on audiobook - I started it to get in the mood for my trip to Iceland, and it worked a treat.
What is everyone else reading? I miss hearing all of this at the meetings, I always end up adding so many things to my list when chatting with everyone.
