Micah W. | 1 comments Any ideas for mysteries in an isolated environment with a small group? "Ten Little Indians" by Agatha Christie, "A Maze of Death" by Philip K. Dick and "An English Murder" by Cyril Hare are books I know in this vein.

Many cozies involve a small group of suspects. Those that are in isolated environments may be set on islands, cruise ships or where the characters are snowbound. Here are a few that come to mind though most of them are not first in a series:

A Fright to the Death by Dawn Eastman
Death at Wentwater Court by Carola Dunn - #1
To Davy Jones Below by Carola Dunn
A Fatal Winter by G.M. Malliet
Queen of Hearts by Rhys Bowen
Dead Man's Island by Carolyn Hart - #1
Decked by Carol Higgins Clark - #1

Beth | 7 comments Good point. I've just discovered one enclosed in a medieval convent. The Prioressl' Tale by Margaret Frazer. Apparently #7 in a long series.

A Demon Summer by G.M. Malliet is also set in a convent.

Anna Catharina Mystery in White by J. Jefferson Farjeon

Kim (beachmeezer) | 16 comments Title Wave by Lorna Barrett takes place on a cruise ship. The rest of the titles in the series are fun, too. (Book Town Mysteries)

Hannah | 8 comments The Passport to Peril series by Maddy Hunter is a fun one.

Emily Andrew is a group travel escort for a rowdy bunch of retirees, who gets caught up solving murders while trying to keep the travelers in check.

Alpine for You is the first book in the series. If you like limited groups of characters, this may be a good series for you.

NOTE: The cast of characters is pretty much the same for each book.
