Chase smiled as she said those three magical words he always loved hearing from her. He also liked her leaning against him as they swayed to the music, listening to the upbeat lyrics. Chase noticed the food arriving at their table and nudged Tomb who looked over and saw it, she squealed with delight and dragged him after her headed towards their table. They sat down as the food was being placed on the table and he saw tombs eyes grow wide as a classical American cheese burger with fries and a milkshake was placed in front of her. He loved the childlike expression of wonder that crept over tombs face as she gazed at the food in front of her. "Well, are ya going to eat it or just stare at it like it's a Rembrandt? It tastes even better than it looks, promise." He said, picking up his own burger and taking a delicious bite. It was as good as he remembered it, which made him happy.

He they ate their food, savoring every last bite, sip and taste the meal had to offer. "Mars needs to go to culinary school somewhere. The only thing he can make right is the fish and chips from what I hear. Nothing like this." Chase exclaimed, relishing in the amazing flavors that were now taking command of his mouth. But he end of the meal he was quite full. His dad picked up the check and they all got up to leave. On the way out, Claire waved at them and chase gave a nod back and they were off. The car ride back was full of laughter and chatter about the food and old memories. His mom told Tomb about the time chase had dumped the milkshake on top of his head and also about the time he'd made a big ketchup smily face on the table at a booth. Chase could only blush and look embarrassed when his mom told the stories.

Chase leaned against tomb as she traced his leg and then moved to fiddling with his hair. Chase was happy that the first day had gone well and ecstatic at how obvious it was how much they liked Tomb. When they got home, everyone was completely wiped out and tired. His parents and sister retired to their upstairs bedrooms while chase and Tomb went down to their rooms. They went to their separate rooms to change and then met back in the main room. Chase flipped on the tv and then flopped onto the couch. Tomb sat next to min and he automatically wrapped his arms around her. It was almost a habit to do so now. "Hey, my family likes you babe. I told you all that worrying was for nothing." He said, giving her a reassuring squeeze.

Chase very much enjoyed the book they were reading, in fact as they had nothing else to do, they read through it all by the time they reached about mid Texas. "Oh my god! Ares and Gregor are bonds now! That's awesome. But wait! he thinks he's not coming back! Tomb grab the next one! That was soooooooo good!" He exclaimed when they reached the last page of the first book. He actually loved the book. It actually made him get emotional at the deaths, especially ticks. He didn't know why but he was pretty fond of those dutiful cockroaches. As Tomb grabbed the next book, he gave her some kisses on her head and face. He didn't know how far he'd make it into the book because it was extremely late and he didn't know how much longer he could stay awake.

Chase was holding back a fit of laughter as Jefferson looked at a map. "Oh, uh, it seems as if I have made a wrong turn. Oh dear." He said, looking extremely embarrassed. Alana looked pissed off by the fact that she had to spend even more time in the car. Chase hadn't thought to say something as he had decided when Jefferson said New Mexico he'd probably messed up and meant Mexico City or something like that. But Alana seemed to know the plan and was fuming at the mistake. "Woah there Alana, chill out, he just probably got confused. I mean, he's been driving for what? Four days straight? There's no way he isn't tired as hell and running on fumes. He probably just confused himself." Chase said, feeling bad for the tongue lashing Alana had given him.

Chase smiled at that. Capture the flag would be very fun, especially with everyone having powers and special abilities. That would definitely make things a little more interesting. "I think that's a great idea love. I call being on your team though." He said jokingly. She smiled and they kept driving. They finally came to what looked like a larger city. Just then Jefferson spoke up, "welcome to Santa Fe, New Mexico amigos. We're getting Neus here and then we are flying the rest of the way to the island. There is a private jet at the airport here waiting for you all. Neus will meet us at our gate in the airport." Chase liked the sound of that. No more car? A private jet? Sounded real good to him. He'd always though it would be cool to fly a private jet.

Chase was pulled out of the car after Tomb who looked absolutely smitten with this nice little downtown area. He could tell she really liked it and was happy to see Tomb enjoying herself. They walked off through what looked to be a farmers market, looking at all the cool stuff they had to offers. One booth sold polished rocks, another sold arrow heads, one booth had blankets for sale and one stall was even selling incubated chicken eggs that would presumably hatch in a week! It was all incredible and he loved every second of it. He understood why she liked the city with its charming style and intriguing city life. "I really like Sante Fe, there's something about it that I just can't describe. It's nice." Commented chase as they walked around.

Chase smiled at what she said. It made him happy knowing that she was starting to see something of a brighter future. As they strolled back to the car, chase turned his attention to the people around him. They were all very tan and relaxed, happy expressions on their faces. This was definitely a place he would like to stay a while. Apparently Neus had arrived at the airport and they needed to go there now. They got there in a short amount of time and when they went to security, they went by without even getting scanned. This was due to to Jefferson behind him flashing his badge at people as he headed them to a private gate. When they got there, the first thing he heard was, "oooohhhhhh my, Alana. You look like you've been kissed by the sun girl." Ugh Neus. They all sighed a greeting to him, all of them getting hit on in one way or another.
