Chase thought a moment. He'd never heard this one, and it was kinda tricky. She didn't mention a ceiling so maybe you could get out that way? No, that was too much work. Chase pondered it some more, then he actually did it, imagining he was in a windowless, doorless room. Hmmmm. At that moment a small smile played across his face. He was 90% sure he'd gotten it. "Stop imagining?" He asked. When Tomb gave her response, he started thinking of one to tell her. "Oh, ummm, ok. What howls and whispers with no voice, rips and tears with no claws, pushes and pulls with no body?" He asked, giving a mischievous look at tomb. This one was definitely one of the harder riddles he'd ever heard, and it had taken him forever to get it when his friend had told it to him in middle school.

Chase thought about it. As far as he was concerned, there were no such rooms that existed. He thought for a minute and said, "alright, alright, you've got me on this one, what is it?" When tomb revealed that it was a mushroom, chase almost whacked himself upside the head. Of course that was it! He'd taken the question too literally. Tomb laughed at him as he chuckled at his unfortunate mindset to take the riddle literally. "Ok, ok, that was good. But I've got one that will surely catch you. Ok, so there are 3 men on a boat in the middle of a lake. The only thing inside the boat is an oar and four cigarettes. Those items being the only things in the boat, how are they going to smoke? I'll give you a hint, don't think literally like me." He said to her, smiling at his riddle.

Chase smiled. He had actually had to ask his dad about it when his grandpa had told it to him. Fortunately, his dad had heard it from grandpa when he was a kid, and he helped chase work it out. It was a kind of funny explanation, and there is no real way for them to smoke, and that's what made it tricky. "Ok, so, there are four cigarettes and three men. If they throw one cigarette off the boat, they make it one cigarette lighter. Haha, it's a cigarette lighter! Oh don't give me that look, same type of riddle as your mushroom one!" He pointed out as Tomb gave him a sour look for the unconventional answer of his riddle. "Haha, I got you fair and square, no complaints!" He chimed in, leaning forward and placing a kiss on her nose. "Your turn!" He said, getting ready for his next riddle.

Chase picked her up and twirled her around, ecstatic to be able to have a chance to dance with her. "It's easy, just step back and forth! You'll get it." He said happily. He moved the coffee table in the center of the living room off to the side for space, and grabbed the boom box. He selected a cd that said, slow rock anthems, and skipped to the track dream weaver. He smiled as it started playing. Tomb put her hands around his neck while he put his on her waist. She raised an eyebrow when he did this and he smiled and winked. They stepped left and right, swaying to the music, looking at each other, smiling. As the chorus came on, singing, "oh dreeeeeaaaaammmmm weaver, I believe we can make it's through the niiiiiiiiight," he sang along in his head, admiring the girl in front of him, thinking of how lucky he got. He leaned a tiny bit forward, and kissed her, slow and gentle, his mind thinking of nothing but her.

Chase smiled, taking her in his arms. "Cmon love, cakes almost done, and I know you've really been wanting cake! And hey, I have some more good news that you'll like to hear. Considering how well you've eaten today, and how much better you're looking, I think it will be a good idea for you to do a test run on your powers tomorrow. Shift, fly, move, just get back into the swing of things. I know you've been itching to try that out and I think you are ready." He aid watching as she smiled even more, getting excited to be able to stretch herself a little bit. He watched her, noting how beautiful she looked, with her smile and slightly messy hair. Never in his whole life could he have ever hoped to find someone better than tomb. It was impossible to.

He finished the song, and handed off the mic to mars, who was going to do rocket man, which he thought ironic because of the kid's name. He walked back over to tomb, who was sitting on a table next to Alana, munching on fries. Everyone was having a pretty good time, and for a moment, it was like any other high school party he'd been to. People socializing, flirting, having fun, meeting people they didn't know too well. He smiled at this as he sat down onto the table next to tomb. "This is pretty alright if you ask me." He commented, taking a drink of a root beer he'd snagged out of a cooler on the way over here. Observing the scene, he felt a sense of family amongst those gathered here, celebrating. He was shoulder to shoulder with Tomb, and she leaned into him as he put his arm around her, feeling like maybe everything wasn't as desperate as it seemed. Because at the moment, everything felt manageable.
