Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was feeling pretty out of it as she poured water over his head and rubbed soap into his hair. She gave him a bar of soap and he drunkenly scrubbed himself with it, asking her to retrieve it whenever it slipped his numb grasp. It was slow going, but eventually he was squeaky clean and he was helped onto a chair. He wrapped a towel around himself and said, "Man, that took a lot more effort than I remember. Last time I didn't need help." He said with a laugh. He was still feeling pretty loopy and when Tomb came over and sat next to him, he said, "Well that was fun huh? Last time someone gave me a bath I was still wearing diapers." He giggled at his joke and then winked at her, sending him into another fit of laughter.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase winced as she applied the cream as it was cold which shocked him a little bit. But it was soothing. She propped him up and grabbed a roll of cloth bandages. He lifted his arms as she tightly wrapped his ribs, winding the cloth around him. It hurt like hell, but once she was finished he felt much better. "Man, I didn't know you were such a good nurse. Did you get a doctorate in good looks?" He said, laughing at his own pick up line. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew it was the dumbest thing he ever said, but he couldn't help but giggle. At least he was aware that he was being dumb, he must've been coming out of his haze. He still had no control of what came out of his mouth but at least he understood how stupid it was.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase felt his long hair in his hands. It was true that it had been a long time since he'd gotten a haircut and it was getting pretty shaggy. "Haha, I need all of my hairs cut silly. I can't get one hair cut or else it wouldn't do me any good ya goofball. I may be high, but whose the one being a goober?" He said, not entirely sure of what he was saying but laughing at tit all the same. His mind felt like cotton and he was starting to come back little by little, almost able to actually get ahold of himself. He knew that this was probably really amusing for anyone who was watching, but he really couldn't help it. He pulled the robe around himself and tied it, making sure it wasn't too breezy down there.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase had been laying there trying to get a grip on his thoughts and slowly he sunk back into his body. He still felt a little fluffy and up in the clouds but at least he was now more in control of his cognition. "Ugh, I hate being high, it makes me look stupid. And as far as food goes, I would kill for some fish and chips. Speaking of, when can I eat solid foods doc? I hate eating only mush and smoothies. Makes me feel as if I'm an old person with no teeth." He complained, peering at her hopefully. But he just continued babbling on, "you know you're pretty cute. Heh, you were a kitty cat. What if I call you my cutie cat? Hehehe, ur so cute and you're a cat so you're a cutie cat." He giggled some more at his joke realizing he wasn't as grounded as he'd thought.

message 505: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "I don't wanna. I want my real food. Give me the food cutie cat!" He called, pouting at her when she held it just out of his reach. He protested and demanded to drink his smoothie after but Tomb was adamant and handed him the drink. He just frowned and mumbled, "cutie cat mean." He drank his smoothie and then got his food as a reward, eating the small serving quickly. He was going to ask for more but he was comfortable and Tomb was playing with his hair so he just let it go. "I love you." He said out of the blue while they were sitting there. "I love you so much that you would drown in it if you tried swimming in my love. True story." He said matter of factly. He was starting feel sleepy after his efforts of trying to bathe and the drugs and the food.

message 506: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled and weakly draped his arm around her. "I missed you too baby. I'm sorry I left." He responded to her. He drifted off to sleep, mesmerized by the rhythmic tapping on his chest. When his eyes fluttered open late in the day he didn't see Tomb right away. He knew that she had stuff to do but he still wished to be with her. Then he turned his head and bumped into a ball of fluff curled up in the crook of his neck. Tomb was a cat again and looked somewhat annoyed for him disturbing whatever sleep she was in. Then a look of panic crossed his face and he yelped, "oh my god. Did... did I call myself a grape, and cal you a cutie cat? Wait, why do I smell so goo- you bathed me. Oh that's embarrassing." His face flushed, as he realized how silly he'd been.

message 507: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase sighed. Well, that was it, he could no longer do anything more embarrassing in front of Tomb than call himself a grape. Or say she got a doctorate in good looks. He hid his rosy cheeks until the blood left his face. He was feeling better after a bath and a little bit of real food, plus the rest had helped a lot. "Hey, I wanna try getting up and walking around a little I'm cleared for that, right? And when can I go home, I hate the hospital." He complained, pouting a little. He was beginning to feel really cooped up now and it was not a good feeling. Plus, the hospital was meant for sick and dying people. He was neither and he wanted to go home with Tomb.

message 509: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase complained but she shut him down before he could fuss over it anymore. He sighed and defeat and laid back in bet, staring at a wall. He guessed he would be doing a lot more of that over the next few days. "Fine then, but that is a yes to the solid foods. I could use a big basket of fish and chips right now." He said, growing hungry just thinking about it. He moved to sit up but Tomb glared at him so he sat back and waited patiently as she went to go grab him some dinner. Man, he really owed her big time for doing all of this stuff for him, especially bathing him and keeping him fed. She was doing an amazing job and he could not feel more grateful for it.

message 510: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments When Tomb returned, she was holding a ton of food, which was good because he was hungry, and she looked like she needed some too. Chase frowned when he gave her a closer look. Her clothes were hanging off of her body, her eye were a little sunken and her cheeks more bony than usual. He didn't remember seeing her eat at all since he'd been conscious and he was starting to realize she hadn't eaten in a long time. "Hey Tomb, how come I haven't seen you eating. You definitely look like you could use some food, that's for sure." He commented, she protested saying she was fine, but shade would not be having any of that. "No, either you eat or I stand up and start uninvited around like a mad man. You choose." Replied stubbornly, sitting up in his bed as if to emphasize his point.

message 511: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase watched her closely, trying to decide if he should make her eat more or not. Occasionally he'd watch her eat a piece of bread, or a little piece of meat but other than that she really didn't eat much. He decided he would try again tomorrow when he might actually be strong enough to pot up a good protest. He ate well, heating about three quarters of what tomb had brought to him. It was all incredibly delicious, especially after his steady diet of smoothies and stuff. When he finished he just lay back, bored as hell wanting to do something. Anything. This was the worst part of the recovery process. Waiting until you could actually do something worthwhile. Because right now he just got to stare at a wall.

message 512: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase could see she was under a bunch of stress and didn't want to add anything else to it. She probably had so much to worry about with leading the camp and repairs. And on top of that she had told him that sailor and cap were still missing. So he decided that he would be a good little patient and agree to her terms. "Yeah, alright. That sounds fine. Just don't drug me up ok? I hated when you did that last time. I made a fool of myself." He said, Some color coming back into his cheeks as he remembered some of what he'd said. She just laughed at this and gave an eye roll. Chase started fiddling with his fingers as he really had nothing else to do. "Hey, so where are cap and sailor, I know you told me they were missing, but any word on them lately?" He asked, curious about the matter.

message 513: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments ((Sorry for the slow response, finals week.))

Chase looked over at kitten Tomb who was setting up the board and laughed. "Oh I'd love to play checkers. It's too bad, but wherever sailor and cap are, I just hope sailor is not letting him use her again." He said. He quickly added, "but I'm sure she's alright. She has really broken through some barriers and I bet she's doing just fine." Hoping to provide a little hope to Tomb. He really did think that sailor had changed and he seriously doubted anything would reverse it. He picked up the red checkers pieces and started situating them in their appropriate squares. He had always had a certain fondness, and seeing as there was literally nothing else to do but wallow in your own thoughts and self pity, he was grateful for the distraction of this fun little game.

message 514: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Kitten tomb was funny as she was easily distracted by anything. She attacked his fingers, pouncing on them playfully. When chase made a bad move, he scratched just behind her ear and she seemed to be so distracted with purring that she missed his mistake and he got off clean. The best part about Tomb being a kitten though was that he could reach over and pick her up in his arms and cuddle her. He tried to resist, but it was just too tempting, so he reached over and scooped her up in his arms and laughed at the yowl she gave followed by tiny needle like claws lightly scratching him. It was quite cute and he couldn't help but giggle while holding the little scrap of fur.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments ((Are you excited?))

Chase wouldn't stop bothering her and eventually she just gave up and rested on his shoulder. He was having fun, and while she was on his shoulder he would tickle her and poke at her. Finally he decided he'd better stop bothering her and he set her on the other side of the board to resume the game. She glared at him as if trying to tell him she'd claw him if he picked her up again. "What!? I can't help it that you're a cute little kitten! It's almost impossible to not just pick you up! You're adorable!" He exclaimed, trying to explain himself. She just kept her gaze on him. It was a little unsettling but he just continued on with the game. He ended up losing to her because of a couple of bad moves caused by him being distracted by tombs unsettling gaze.

message 518: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase didn't know what they were being so careful about, as his injury had already been dealt with. "But aren't I fine now that my injury has been treated?" He asked in an annoyed voice. Tomb rolled her eyes and explained to him that his ribs could still shift and crush his internals. Great, now his own body might kill him if he wasn't careful. He watched as Tomb sat down next to him and he decided he was going to enjoy being able to be back at home with her as there were a lot more things to do there like read, watch tv, or cuddle and annoy Tomb. "Hey, once I get home can I start walking again? I really want to start moving around, at least a little bit." He inquired, wondering how long it would be until he could.

message 519: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase kissed her back, moving an arm around her waist and pulling her a little closer towards him. Hit was a soft and sweet kiss, the kind that leaves you dizzy and giddy and that's exactly what it did to chase. As Tomb pulled away he protested, wanting more, and this time he got his way. She leaned back to him and he propped himself up slightly, eager to feel her lips pressed against his. As they kissed, rain walked into the room and said, "you may now kiss a bide." Chase smiled as he heard the little girl and removed his arm from around tombs waist. "Hey rain, what have you been up to? Getting enough candy?" He asked, knowing the four year old took candy very seriously. Definitely not something you wanted to joke about with her.

message 520: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "Haha, good for you little girl? How's dice rain?" Chase asked, curious as to how the little boy was doing. Rain thought and then responded, "He nice. He make good dad for my mom in doll house." Chase thought he saw the little girl blush but before he could poke a little fun at her, she had turned to a hummingbird and shot out of the room and into the hallway. What an energetic little girl, that rain. Chase smiled and shook his head. "That girl has the attention span of, well, of a humming bird. Paired with all of that sugar, well I just don't know how she forms complete thoughts. If consumed as much sugar as her I would die." He said laughing. Tomb gave a little snort of laughter as well and then turned back to him. Chaise bounced his eyebrows up and down and winked to which she rolled her eyes and kissed him.

message 521: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was quite contented and comfortable so much so that he gave a big yawn and decided he would settle down to go to bed. "I believe it is time for me to go to bed love. I can't wait to go back home tomorrow, this hospital is driving me crazy! You're the only thing here that's keeping me sane. Honestly, I don't know how many of my brain cells I'd still have if you weren't here keeping me company. Thanks for that, it means a lot. And once we get home I'll get better so then you can go look for your sister while I recover... crap, I can't help! Man, getting injured sucks." He concluded, realizing it would be a bit of a wait before he could help Tomb do anything around camp. The thought was a little depressing so he just kinda quieted down and settled in to go to bed.

message 522: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments When chase woke the next morning, he immediately noticed the absence of the warmth that had been present on his neck when he'd gone to sleep. He lifted his head to check if she was at the foot of the bed, but his searching eyes found nothing that would indicate her presence. Chase wasn't too worried though as Tomb could take care of herself and she was probably off doing chores for camp or patrolling. He sat there for a moment and realized that there was no one there to keep him in bed. He smiled and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. When he lowered his weight onto his legs, he almost helped at the pain. It was dull and achey, but not unbearable. He was hungry, so he decided that's where he'd walk first. Supporting his weight on the wall, he decided that's where he'd go first.

message 523: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "Then it would've been a kinder gate than staying in the hospital one more day! Let me go, I'm going to get waffles at the mess hall!" He exclaimed, determined to get the fluffy breakfast food for himself. Jefferson protested and started dragging him back to the hospital. "Jefferson I swear to god I will take a header right here and die if you don't let me get my waffles." He growled. Was it extreme? Maybe. Was it a little over the top to say he'd kill himself over waffles? Maybe, there was an argument for both sides. Jefferson just looked at him like he was crazy and then threw his hands of in the air and said, "oh what the hell. If you wanna kill yourself for waffles than fine, I love let lay into you when she finds out." Chase considered this, but decided that if Tomb had ever had waffles before, she'd understand his actions.

message 524: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments When Tomb walked in chase knew immediately he was in trouble. Thankfully he was on his third waffle now and was just eating them for the heck of it as his hunger had left after he polished off the second waffle. But he had reason to pick a bone with her as week as she had looked weak and skinny. Whatever she'd been doing must've been hard work, because her frame was trembling and shaking. Although, looking back on it, she may have just been shaking with rage at chase. He gave a small wave but she just stormed over to him. He noticed how skinny she was and mentally kicked himself for not forcing her to eat yesterday. "Before you say anything, don't get mad at anyone but me. I threatened my life if I wasn't allowed to get waffles." He said, trying not to crack up at how funny that sounded.

message 525: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "I was thinking that I wanted waffles. And look at yourself! You look like a skeleton that would be used to teach bone structure! I'm banning you from not eating, from now on, every time I see you, there better be something edible in your hands. Also, if I was willing to kill myself over waffles, think what I'll do for hot chocolate! There will be a mutiny in this household!" He cried, huffing and crossing his own arms as he sat on the couch. She had no right to be mad at him, especially when she was taking such poor care of herself. Quite hypocritical of her to be balking at his own decisions, which at least included feeding himself. "I just wanted waffles ok? Please don't take my hot chocolate." He pleaded, deciding that it would be better to try and get on Tombs good side than argue with her.

message 526: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "Whatever, but you still need to eat the only thing I've watched you eat was a few pieces of bread and some water. That isn't even close to food. Ya know what? Go in the kitchen right now and make yourself some macaroni and cheese. I know we have some easy mac in there and if you don't make it I will. You are going to eat today even if it kills me." He said, a sternness in his voice that wasn't very common for him. He just wanted her healthy and feeling better. Was that really too much to ask of her? "Nope, no arguments, no eye rolls, not even a growl. You need food. I swear I'll start walking again." He said leaning forward. It was kind of nice to threaten doing something so simple as walking to get people to listen to him. But Tomb sat him back down and glared at him.

message 527: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase knew there was something wrong when he heard retching coming from the bathroom. He instantly knew that Tomb wasn't eating because she didn't want to, it was because she couldn't. How long had this been going on? Her own body was starving her and turning her into a frame of her former self. It was a depressing thought and when she returned, keeping her gaze on the floor all chase could say was, "tomb... I didn't know. Why didn't you tell me baby? We should go to the hospital so they can give you an IV, or something to help keep the food down. Look at yourself, you desperately need some form of nutrients baby. Why didn't you tell me about it?" He asked, placing an arm on her shoulder. He didn't get and answer though, instead, she lightly put her arms around him and buried her face in his shoulder.

message 528: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "You have to get this fixed baby, you can't carry on like this." He left it at that though, as he found himself a little short of breath. Maybe walking so much so early wasn't such a good idea. But there was no way he was telling that to tomb and going back to the dreaded hospital. Anything but that. He was sure he was fine and he was just a little tired. Tomb was still laying next to him and he steadied his breathing so she didn't notice. That was the last thing he needed, giving tomb an excuse to focus on him more than herself. "Is there anything you can manage? Vitamin drinks, lemons, limes, or even a nutrients bar?" He asked, hoping she would at least be able to eat some of those things without having it come back up.

message 529: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "No you won't, Jefferson told me you promised him that 5 times!" He exclaimed, turning it right back on her. He wasn't letting her weasel out of this. "Listen, if you don't get help by the end of the day tomorrow, I will get them to help you. It's for your own good." He replied, hiding his breathing so she wouldn't see him panting. He knew Tomb didn't like him turning things to her like this, but she needed to take care of herself or else she was absolutely no good to the camp. "Alright, now that that's settled, you haven't slept for more than a day so why don't you come here so I can cuddle you to sleep watching super natural?" He asked, knowing that she probably would love nothing more than to go out and exert herself at something. He had to make the offer tempting and she he also added, "I'll give you lots of kisses." Winking as he said it.

message 530: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase knew she wasn't happy with him, and he somewhat expected that, and he was elated when she laid her head on his lap because that meant she wasn't too mad. She closed her eyes and drifted off as supernatural played on. Chase stroked her cheek lovingly, staring at her gaunt face, thin from not eating. He caressed her cheek and was amused to see her twitch a little. It was about mid morning and he still had all day, but he suspected Tomb would be asleep for a long time. He didn't want to do anything that would upset her though so he just moved he head off his lap and lay down with their heads pointing opposite directions but right next to each other. He laid like this for a while and he enjoyed it, as it was comfortable and he could kiss Tomb on the cheek whenever he wanted.

message 531: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase had watched supernatural for a while and when Tomb woke up he was rather surprised for the amount of affection she showed him. But hey, he wasn't complaining, he got to kiss Tomb which was probably one of the best things in the world ever. They kissed for a little bit, which was fine with chase, and then they cuddled for a while. "Ya know what I alike about being home baby? I get to cuddle up with you like this. I mean, kitten you is adorable too, but for some reason she doesn't like it when I scoop her up and hug her." He said with a smile, earning an eye roll from tomb. A new episode started and they both quieted down a bit to see what was going to happen in Sam and deans next supernatural adventure.

message 532: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase listened to her question and had immediate objections. "Oh no you don't, no more pain meds. You just want to get me high again so you can video it this time. No way." He said, making his feelings on the pain medicine very clear. He absolutely hated what it did to his mind and he hated how it made him act like a fool. Tomb might think it amusing, but chase thought it downright embarrassing. He would rather show her baby pictures of him than embarrass himself all drugged up again. "You know though, if you could grab me a water that would be much appreciated." He said, leaning over and pecking her on the cheek. She agreed and went to the kitchen to get him a glass. "Thanks baby, I owe you big time after all this. How will I ever repay you?" He asked.

message 533: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments When Alana and Neus came through the doors, chase was startled, but as they explained themselves chase got to his feet, wanting to get going to find them. Tomb sat him right back down on the couch and scowled at him giving a piercing glare. "Hey, why can't I go! I might not be full strength yet, but neither are you! Your so thin and frail that a breeze might take you away." He said, really trying to convince her that she should let him go with. He was ready to do something and if Tomb was able to do something, than so was he. But it was apparent that Tomb didn't feel this way as she told Alana to make sure he didn't get up and then left with Neus to go see where sailor and captain were. Chase gave a look at Alana but she just said, "oh no you don't, I agree with Tomb on this one." Crap, how was he going to follow Tomb?

message 534: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was glaring at Alana, who was glaring right back at him. "Let me go Alana! Cmon, I wanna go with them! What did you find? Were they dead, are they ok, is captain controlling sailor, what's happening!" He yelled, frustrated at being kept in the dark. Alana considered his question for a moment, trying to decide if it was worth her time to answer and then sighed. She apparently thought he should know and explained to him in disturbingly great detail what they had found. From what he understood, it sounded as if the two had been tortured, and captain almost dead. That definitely wasn't good and chase knew that sailor was probably going crazy being tied up, unable to help. He weakened his protests as his breath was coming in short again and he now knew what tomb would find.

message 535: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase heard an almost inhuman screech coming from the forest and immediately knew it was tomb. He got up and tried to rush the door but Alana just knocked him back and glared at him. He tried a few more times but was unsuccessful every one. On the last time though, he slipped her grasp and AP was home free. Until a knife whizzed by slicing his calf. He fell forward from the sudden shock and landed on his chest. His whole being screamed with pain from the impact and his breaths p were now painful and ragged. Alana walked up behind him and clicked disapprovingly. "Tomb will not be happy with you at all. Cmon, let's get you back to the hospital so the doctors can make sure you didn't reinsure anything." She said. Chase was extremely angry but could not do much as Alana hauled him off to the hospital. He got checked out and was declared ok, but they closed and locked his door, leaving him with himself. He was so frustrated at everything. At himself for being so weak, at the others for not letting him do what he wanted and especially at not being allowed to go get sailor and cap. He thought of all these things and the anger in his chest rose and rose until he snapped. He grabbed a screw from the bed and unscrewed it then turned to iron. He screamed and let out his fury, destroying everything in the room. Completely overexerting himself and completely wrecking the room.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was ashamed when he saw Tomb. She had given him one look and ran. He felt absolutely terrible. But he didn't try to chase her knowing if he did she'd only run harder. Luckily though his door was unlocked now that she'd opened it. Chase gathered himself and strode out the door. The camp was in such a buzz over captain and sailor that no one noticed as he walked straight out of camp and into the forest. He didn't know where he was going until he came out on a sandy beach. It was the one where everything had started getting so crazy. When sailor had switched with Tomb. It wasn't a happy memory. He walked to the spot in the sand where they had sat and plopped down. Watching the sun start its decent towards the ocean.

message 538: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase sat In his spot for a good long while. He looked on as the sun came in contact with the horizon. He did quite know what had come over him back at the hospital. He guessed that he'd just been so frustrated at not being able to help and being kept out of action. He still was ashamed at how he'd acted though, as when he saw tombs face he saw someone who needed a shoulder to cry on. Someone to turn to. But he'd been so absorbed in his own frustrations that he'd freaked out on her. Now she was lord knows where, doing god knows what. She was so frail and weak from not being able to eat and he hadn't done anything to help that either. It was safe to say that right now, chase felt like the worst boyfriend on planet earth. He had no idea what to do though. Everything was just so confusing right now. As the last bits of light streaked the sky orange and red, he got up and walked back to camp. It was time he got back and he needed to find tomb and apologize.

message 539: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase knew he was in for it as soon as they got to the house. She hadn't even said a word to him, just grabbed him by his arm and flew him to their house. He was unceremoniously shoved through the front door and pushed on the couch. He figured tomb was probably pretty pissed at him and she had every right to be. He'd basically abandoned her right when she needed him most. He felt absolutely terrible about it and regretted it, but that didn't change the fact that it still happened. Tomb just glared at him for a while and chase couldn't meet her eyes, knowing he'd find anger there. "Tomb I-" He started, quickly she cut him off with a sneer but he forced his way on, "I'm sorry, I just snapped. I've been cooped up so long and not allowed anywhere I just snapped. I'm sorry I left you. I already feel terrible." He said, keeping his eyes glued to the floor.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase knew she was right. It was a stupid cycle that wasn't good for either of them. He watched her go and didn't stop her. She was right and chase knew it. She had a lot to deal with and she shouldn't have to worry about him. He scolded himself fiercely, taking a hard look into his actions and how he shouldn't have done so many things. He was being terrible to her and he hadn't even realized it. He decided right there and then that he would be a good patient and do everything asked of him to help his recovery. And once he was recovered he would do his best to stay that way. No more exploding stuff right in front of him, no more boneheaded missions, no more unnecessary endangerment. It was driving a wedge between him and tomb and he didn't like it. After he came to this decision he himself got up and went into their room. He laid down next to her, but didn't dare touch her not wanting to wake her from the rest she much needed.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled when she snuggled up with him and he wrapped her in his arms in return. Happy for the familiarity of her warmth. He murmured to her, "you could stab me and I wouldn't complain I'm so comfortable right now. I love you tomb, and I promise to be better." He said. He'd felt terrible for most of the day and really wanted to make it up to her. So as he fell asleep his mind turned to how he might make her life easier. Slowly he fell asleep, letting dreams overcome him. He woke up extra early the next day and carefully slid out of bed. He went to the kitchen and ate a quick breakfast and then walked out the door. He went to the hospital and got his wrap changed after he used the giant bath to painstakingly bathe. It hurt but he managed it and got fresh bandages on right after. He got the updates on sailor and captain printed out. He took them back to the house and made a plate of sliced lemons and limes with sugar on the side. He grabbed a tray and put the food and reports on it and walked back into the bedroom. According the reports, captain was stable and sailor was no longer going crazy, which was good. He set the tray on a nightstand and knelt next to her, kissing her softly.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled when she pulled him in for a kiss. It was a passionate kiss and it lasted for more than a few seconds, when she pulled away, chase was smiling widely at her. When tomb ordered him back to bed, chase laughed and responded, "A hot girl orders me into bed? Yes ma'am." Tomb punched his arm lightly and rolled her eyes. Chase, staying true to the promise he'd made to himself the night before climbed into bed and lay down. He put an arm around tomb who was still skimming her eyes over the reports. "I got a bath and had my wrap changed at the hospital so that's all taken care of. Everything looks pretty quiet around the camp from what I've seen. Jefferson was hoping to talk to you during lunch about a few things, but other than that, nothing is really happening." He explained, giving her a rundown on what was happening.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was perfectly contented with laying there and snuggling up with tomb. That's when he noticed the stack of books they had been reading during their road trip. He got a little excited and nudged tomb. She groaned in protest and buried her face deeper in his neck. He tickled her side a bit and she giggled a bit and then looked up at him defiantly. He just smiled at his success and gave her a quick kiss by way of apology. This seemed to appease her a little so he gave her another and then told her why he had woken her. "Hey, remember those books em we were reading on our way back to camp? Well we got time and we never made it through the prophecy of bane. We can read some if you aren't too tired right now, or we could do it later if you like. I wouldn't mind settling down for a nap with the hottest girl in the world." He said, flashing her a winning smile.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Gregor also felt sympathy for Twitchtip and made a mental effort to keep from vocalizing his sorrows. This book was almost too good in the respect that it got one too attached to the characters. It may have been a book labeled for younger children, but the body count and the emotions caused by the story argued otherwise. They read on for a while, and chase lost track of the time. As they turned to the last page of the book, chase sighed and said, "why oh why did it have to be twitchtip? Maybe she'll be alright and make it to the dead lands and join up with Ripred's band of rats." He said hopefully, but knowing the author was much too cruel to let that happen. Just then there was a knock on the door. Chase glanced at tomb who told him to stay there as she went to the door. When she answered, chase heard Jefferson's voice say, "Tomb, I need to talk with you, it's about if we keep sailor and cap around."

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase couldn't help but eavesdrop on the conversation, as he was eager to hear what would happen with sailor and captain. He heard Jefferson reply to tomb, saying, "I'm not sure that is in the camps best interests. They are both wildly unstable and it might be best to throw em in a maximum security detainment facility." Chase flinched at the low gutters growl that he could only assume came from tomb. She was not having anything that Jefferson was saying. He thought he heard Jefferson stumble before he replied, "wait, wait! Fine, we will keep them. No need to claw my face off! Jesus. We will allow them to stay here but if they have a mental breakdown and kill everyone, then that blood is on your hands." This comment with another growl and he heard Jefferson scramble for the door and slam it shut. Chase just smiled at how intimidating his little girl could be. "Is my little girl playing nice out there?" He called from the bed.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase sighed when tomb told him she had to get up and do things, but he nodded in agreement. He didn't want to hold her back from doing her duties around camp. He watched as she left and threw on some clothes. He wasn't looking forward to spending the rest of his day alone, but it also gave him something to look forward to when tomb got back. Tomb walked out the door and chase was left to his own devices. He stared at the ceiling for a little bit and when he looked up he expected at least an hour to have gone by but apparently his perception of time was skewed and only ten minutes had scrapped by. He sighed and then got an idea. He quickly got up and dragged the stereo into his room and some CD's. he smiled as he clicked play on Fly by Night by a band called Rush. He loved the drums on this song and laid back in bed, distracted by the music.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase spent his day blaring music and entertaining himself. He found some string in his night stand drawer and used it to tie up a web around the room. The string went back and forth, up and down, all over the room. When the string finally ran out, it looked like a laser alarm system one might see in a James Bond film. After that, he laid back and traced the string with his eyes, following it all around the room until he found its end. For lunch he had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with some chips and watermelon. Once he finished that, he just laid around, listening to music and waiting for tomb. He made sure to not strain himself and followed all of the directions tomb and his doctor had given him. It was probably the most boring day of his life but as long as it meant tomb didn't have any extra stuff to worry about, he was happy to be bored.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was so happy when he heard her enter that he had to restrain himself from jumping on her. He managed to calm himself enough to answer her question. "Oh, you know, it was fine." He lied, not wanting tomb concerned about his boredom. He didn't elaborate on the rest of the day as he didn't have anything to elaborate on. He did nothing for basically the entire day. He didn't know how he could do this for even one more day, but he was determined to keep the promise he'd made to himself. He waited patiently for her to get done with her shower and put on her night clothes. When she finally got it bed, he practically smothered her with kisses. He kissed her all over her face, neck, and lips, ignoring her protested. He wrapped her in a hug and gave her a long passionate kiss on the lips. He had been so bored the entire day and this was a welcome change of speed.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase pressed himself against her and kissed her. He was relieved to feel her against him and pulled back momentarily to say, "no, don't leave more often! Stay, stay and I'll kiss you all the same." He pressed his lips back to hers, missing the feeling of it even though it had hardly been a few seconds. He had never loved someone so much. Never felt such strong emotions for someone. He tried to convey this to her through the kiss. He pulled back again, partly to catch his breath, partly to admire her beauty. "You know, I very much enjoy kissing you." He said goofily, giving a crooked smile and placing another kiss on her lips. He was so happy that she was finally back and he could hardly help but get excited just looking at her. How had he gotten so lucky? Waiting all day was definitely worth it if this is what he got in return.
