Sue Lauzon | 298 comments Quick question Joanne. I usually have several or more books started at one time and I started a book just after I started this challenge but before my last roll. It just so happens that this book that I am about 53% done of fits the task of my recent roll of the dice. Can I use this book to complete that task or will I have to use a book that I start after the roll of the dice.

This is an open ended challenge - take a break from it. Maybe sometime you will read a book where a character works in the legal profession and you can do #81. There's no rush to finish.

I know how you feel about reading just for challenges. I felt that way a couple of years ago. I read for me and if my books fit the challenges - then that's great. If I don't finish a challenge, it's not the end of the world. Reading is for enjoyment! :)

I'll probably have to read a suspense murder mystery or something. I'm kinda starting to lean towards wanting to read more of those types of books anyway.

message 1332: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 907 comments I hope one of those will have the right type of character for the category. Hang in there! Lengthy challenges can be tricky, but sometimes once you get past a hard category or two, several books fall into place for a burst afterward. I hope that’s the case for you, Carrie.

Mama X (mamax) Well crap. I had Thirteen for "81. SOLICITOR’S OFFICE – Read a book with a main character who works in the legal profession." but I couldn't suffer through it. It was sooo boring. I just don't do courtroom thrillers because they're NOT thrilling. I guess I'm just going to have to step down from the challenge. I tried rolling the dice and planning it out ahead of time, but I decided that it was kinda like cheating (even though there's no rule against it as far as I know) and deleted all of them but the roll I was working on. It's just more fun not knowing what your next role will be too. But I kept the roll I'm working on because rerolling for that WOULD be cheating. Anyway, for the life of me I can't find a book that I'm interested in that fits this criteria and I'm driving myself insane. LOL
