I don't understand David. Every other book has different editions, both kindle and paperback, listed under the title name.

No worries, this is just a nomenclature issue.
You said they are duplicates. Duplicates are completely identical editions. That means they should be merged (i.e. one should be deleted).
In fact, they are different editions, not duplicates. The should be combined.
It's my fault for not noticing it.
