As much as I like to tell people don't ever judge a book by its cover, I judge a book by its cover. The title and the cover sets the hook and The story reels them in. Personally I like the more traditional end of the world - post apocalyptic- zombie novels. Not the ones with all kinds of weird things like supernatural or alien life forms type. Just make it realist so I can imagine myself there and what would I do if I were in that situation. If that makes sense. But then that is just me.

I'm with you: I look at the cover first, or at least a half a beat ahead of the title.
PS I hate alien stories unless they're in X Files, Stargate, SW, or ST.

Or...do you just go by the cover? How much does the cover influence your decision to read/buy?
