June is our Random Read Month. That means you can nominate any book you want that meets the below qualifications.

(Please recall that we don't vote for books we've already read).

Here are the other considerations:

1. One nomination per group member. The books must be nominated with a Goodreads link by clicking on 'add book/author'. If a book does not have a Goodreads link, it will not be added to the poll.
2. Books need to be readily available, ie, in print (able to buy new or in ebook format).
3. Books should have some degree of action/adventure content.
4. Past group reads are not eligible to be nominated again. The past group discussions remain open for members to comment. You may see the list of past reads here:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

5. Books must be either standalone or first in a series (or they may be later in a series if constructed to be read as a standalone).

Please feel free to include a blurb for the book so others know a little about the book, along with your Goodreads book link.

The poll will go up on May 6th.

Shouldn't we read Lockdown first? "Deadlock" is the second in the series.

Jim (jimmaclachlan) I'll nominate Money Shot by Christa Faust. It's a wonderfully gritty trip through the porn industry & some memorable characters that were quickly, but well sketched. Our heroine was strong, tough & capable. Lots of action & sexual tension. Not much actual sex & what there was didn't detract from the story.

A rash of bizarre murders swept the country…
Senseless. Brutal. Seemingly unconnected.
A cop walked into a nursing home and unloaded his weapons on elderly and staff alike.
A mass of school shootings.
Prison riots of unprecedented brutality.
Mind-boggling acts of violence in every state.

4 D A Y S A G O
The murders increased ten-fold…

3 D A Y S A G O
The President addressed the nation and begged for calm and peace…

2 D A Y S A G O
The killers began to mobilize…

All the power went out…

They’re reading the names of those to be killed on the Emergency Broadcast System. You are listening over the battery-powered radio on your kitchen table, and they’ve just read yours.

Your name is Jack Colclough. You have a wife, a daughter, and a young son. You live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. People are coming to your house to kill you and your family. You don’t know why, but you don’t have time to think about that any more.

You only have time to….

I nominate Run by Blake Crouch by Blake Crouch

This book has already been a Group Read.

Leo Goldin How about The Hunter (Victor the Assassin, #1) by Tom Wood by Tom Wood. It is also a great thriller full of action. And it looks like it was not on a group read list

This is the most feedback we've had on a group read in a while. I'm so happy! Literally, I would read any of these books.

The poll is up. It will close on May 14th.
