Matthew Bargas It begins as the story of a struggling, impoverished writer who can barely afford to pay his rent, but he is true to himself in that he wants to create a great piece of literature. When he is granted limitless wealth, he devotes all his creative energies to the marketing and promotion of his work rather than working to improve it. The implication was that having money will detract people in their creative aspirations. Who agrees with this premise? I submit that it is only those people who have money that can really afford to devote their creative energies to a major work. Those who have to work for a living can never find the time. Any thoughts?
