Theme

I personally think the theme of this story is perseverance and to never give up. The reason I think this because even though they are a simple wealthy family when the boat is destroyed they stick together as one and never does one of them give up. The main reason why this family can stay together so well is based on the strong religious beliefs of Mr. Robinson who does not let his family ever give up. Even when they are stranded on a deserted island Mr. Robinson and his family stick together and never give up no matter the circumstances.
