Comment on the events so far. Speculate on what's really going on.
But NO SPOILERS, please.

So I love the conversation between Lymond and Richard - I love how Richard always stops - and realizes that his brother is trying to fool him - but he get's it and calls Lymond on the carpet.
(I know this sounds really stupid - I Know! but Richard and Lymond remind me on some levels of "Bridget Jone's Diary" - in that I always think of Richard as the guy who is trustworthy, solid (Colin Firth)- and say's that line about kissing - yes he can kiss - and damn well! Ha!)

The scene between Oonagh and Lymond playing the organ.... and then what happens right after it with Mistress Boyle and Oonagh. Can't wait to discuss this with others!!

(view spoiler)

I'll post the rest of the chapter threads tomorrow if I can get to a PC.

That is so true! Richard = Colin Firth - Yes! that does work, especially with his hapless handling of his problems with Mariotta in the last book. so who is Lymond - the Hugh Grant character or Bridget??!

SamuraiKitty | 155 comments Hi Giki -
Oh definitely the Hugh Grant character - Lymond is a handsome, charming, sneaky, manipulative SOB!. But having said that, I don't think of Lymond in those terms - I'm usually comparing other characters to Lymond, and finding them sadly lacking. It was just one of those weird moments when I was reading last night and truly thought of Richard as that Colin Firth character in "Bridget Jone's Diary". :)

I have had this is my head all day - the game of kings re-imagined as bridget jones' diary as told by Marriota. Off to the Fleming's for boxing day dinner, jenny will be flirting outrageously with all the married men, Christian being all red haired and perfect, Wat Scot will probably say something very rude and Sybilla will try and wind everyone up.

I like Colin Firth as Richard. He's in my head that way now. But, DD is quoted as speculating on Firth as a possible likeness for Nicholas in her Niccoló series. Maybe that was just her type.

SamuraiKitty | 155 comments Hi Renee -
I had no idea - that's interesting.
