Speaking of Lady Jarvis, did you think she would actually die? What do you think of her chat with Sebastian before her death?

I was amazed that she actually died. I thought there would be lots of investigation of a near death experience. I am a bit sad to see her go!
I was not expecting her death at all! I was happy that we got that little scene between her and Sebastian and I'm sad that we won't get to see them spend more time together. It was a sweet scene and I think Sebastian would have grown to care about her quite a bit if he'd had the chance.
I also didn't think she would actually die and thought that Hero would realize that Victoria was poisoning her mother and manage to save her :0)The chat was so sweet and I loved that she knew how happy Hero was.
Yes, at least she died with the peace of mind from knowing that Hero had found a truly loving marriage with a partner who returns her love. Quite different from her own experience.
Whatever caused her death in the end, perhaps her satisfaction over Hero's marriage to Sebastian put her in a position where she might not fight some threat to her health....
I was certain she'd die because not enough of the foundation for Victoria's story was created. It will develop in a future book I'm certain. As soon as she got sick, I was saddened because I knew what was coming.

When Jarvis started flirting with the cousin I had a bad feeling he'd bump of his wife to marry her. She struck me as the type who wouldn't be satisfied being a mistress, plus she's young enough to give Jarvis a male heir.
But I thought he would try and fail, not actually kill her.
