((kk understandable. then meeting again here should be fine
xD At least I'm not the only one. Well I do finally have a prisoner in building 1. I mean... I do have a planned rp for her but that might take a bit.... but if not I'm sure my character Grim can stir a little trouble for the sibs to look into...?
No... I'll see if anyone is interested))

(To be honest, I really want Harumu to meet Dureau. I feel like they could really connect, and that Dureau would be a good male figure for Harumu to befriend. Sure, gentle people, those who are calm and kind like Tsubasa would be preferred, but because of their shared [however varying] experiences could be...helpful. That is, I don't want you to change your character just because of a little connection I want to happen. I really want it to be a process, just like with Rene and Harumu. I want it to go slow, if you're even okay with it?)
Ila had been much quieter than she had been previously during that week. Attentive and loving towards Harumu and praising him at how well he was doing with his education and exiting the safety of his cell. However, she was often lost in her thoughts and hiding sorrow behind her earnest smile. With how well he was doing, when offering a trip to the library he basically glowed. She knew he was a bit fearful but he seemed to really want to go. Hopefully, Rene would be in there, he usually was. He practically lived in the library since getting permission to go.
Walking through the halls towards the library, it felt odd with Keito's absence but Harumu seemed okay going by with just her by his side. If it helped him then there wasn't a reason to complain.
When they reached the library, she opened the door for Harumu to wander through and entered behind him. "Want to go looking with me?" she asked.
((*rereads Dureau's profile* We could have them meet and see how it goes from there? It would be interesting for Harumu to meet Dureau but it's a bit concerning with his temper. It would be easily triggered if Harumu has an episode... Dureau wouldn't be in control of the situation and all. Something slow could possibly work. ))

((OKay, so we want to start with them meeting instead of the library with Rene? Or....
It would be interesting, and Dureau can be quite the softy.. sort of xD
OMG I feel like Hana and Dureau would literally be so competitive
beautiful party))

((She wouldn't have planned the meeting, not at this stage in Harumu's progression and after previous incidents, she wouldn't want to risk it. On the way to or from the library sounds pretty good. Plausible and gives both of them a neutral territory to interact on. I do hope he can be something of a good figure for Harumu >~< ))

((Either works for me ^^ Whichever you prefer, in or going to the library. [I'm horrid at making decisions] ))

((KK Oh! Nice! ^^ For the guard twins? I do believe one of them was pansexual [the cutie] and the more outgoing one was homosexual. ))

(( I just checked them out. *cough* I see dragon shifting in Aylor's future ;P*cough* I think this will be adorable and when we rp them, if I put he or she pronouns, correct me habits die hard.
Argh! So, they'd already have a crush on him?))

Charlotte was not exactly a patient person. Of course, there were times when she could be so, when a certain fantasy novel consumed her very being and kept her remarkably quiet for hours. Unfortunately for Dureau, this was not one of those times. She was on a sugar high from the three bags of M&Ms she'd had along with her Nutella-coated bagel for breakfast. Not to mention that, as their journey in the library was less for fun reading and more for questioning the librarian about an incident with a prisoner a few hours earlier, she had no book to occupy her. As a result, she was as far from patience as she could possibly get, her leg bouncing restlessly when she was not hopping from foot to foot, grumbling or whining every few seconds to get in across to Dureau just how incredibly bored she was.

Ar..."
(Omg, I'm so glad you like them! [DRAGONS YASS!!! Lololol!!!] I'll gently correct you if the time comes up! I'll fix the N/A crush to Aylor's name [so that's a yes] and... What block does Aylor work in??? Pls don't say 13 lolol)
((They are so cute! ^^ but so sad! The history! The feels stab my heart. Whoop! He works in Block 6, no worries xD The block of thieves I believe))
Dureau, the vampire of building one, wanted nothing more than to leave the library at his sister's wishes but the workaholic and head guard needed to properly investigate the incident. It didn't help she was currently hyper. "Lottie," he warned quietly, his tone much softer than what he'd been using to talk to the librarian, glancing at her, "entertain yourself with a book until I finish up if you're bored," he advised her. He definitely wanted to leave, he had heard the door open and didn't want to bother with any more people than necessary. He stood tall, composed as he turned his icy blue gaze over briefly at Ila and Harumu. The man's frame was intimidating already, large and built but his sharp features with not the most pleasant expression on his face. He rarely looked kind.
He recognized the nurse, a kind, and hardworking woman. He didn't have any complaints about her so far and shocking her patients in building 1 appreciated her. He didn't look for long, only a few seconds since the child she was with gave him a certain feeling that he did not like.
He was looking back at his sister, "I would finish up quicker if you read for a bit," he added, "then we have some time before I need to file the report," he said, a whisper to Lottie, a hand on her shoulder and his head leaned down close to her ear.
Ila was smiling, glad to see him so excited. She was sure Rene was in a similar way even if he didn't show it outwardly. First friends for the both of them. She always had the instinct to hold his hand but they were occupied with fabrics. When they entered the Library she was about to try and see if they could find Rene somewhere in the maze of bookshelves when he ducked behind her. Seeing the regular signs of his anxiety, she followed his gaze to the front desk to find the source of his fear: the Labelle siblings. Dureau was a terrifying man, she had to admit it. She'd heard many rumors about him but she refused to listen to them as she always did. He was a respectable man, dedicated to his sister.
"Let's go find Rene," she told Harumu softly. If he was shaky around Tsubasa, she doubted he could handle meeting Dureau.

Harumu could barely move, he was so terrified of the cold eyes that had turned on him. The man's disinterest was crystal clear, and yet Harumu still couldn't get himself to look away. He was so focused on Dureau, in fact, that he hadn't noticed the tall woman had left his side and was striding toward them. Only when she was close enough that he could smell her soft, flowery perfume did he flinch away from her and cower further into Ila. She seemed to notice, luckily stopping a ways away to keep from pushing him too far. "Good afternoon, Ila," the woman said in a unsurprisingly bored tone. "Who's that? Shouldn't you have a guard with you?"

((I think it should be fine if they're guards of different blocks.
No hate on the thief block. Most of the time many from that block are transferred to building 13. Plus, they're the main income for smuggled goods... I believe. (Literally what Castyn does most of the time when he's not flirting with someone) ))
Dureau smirked a bit, "I know," he confirmed, knowing that she was upset despite the fact she was hiding it. He knew her too well to be fooled by it. He would quickly finish this up but she was adorable when she was upset. Once she drifted off, he turned to the librarian to get the information he needed so he could get back to his sister. Potentially having time before he had to go back to work.
"Harumu?" Ila asked softly but could see it wasn't really getting through to him. She looked back to see Charlotte approaching and smiled thankfully at her when she stopped when she noticed how uncomfortable Harumu was with it. Ila could tell he was uneasy with how close he'd gotten to her that had her gently stroking Harumu's head while keeping her gaze on Charlotte. "You as well Charlotte," Ila replied with a gentle smile. "This is Harumu, I'm taking care of him," she explained and she shook her head. "I'm fine," she assured her, not wanting to worry anyone. She never really thought about the fact she may need a guard with her. She didn't when she was treating people in the infirmary. She can take care of herself though not offensively like many of the guards here. "We're just here for books and to meet a friend."

Harumu was surprised to say the least when the woman, whose name was Charlotte, crouched down and offered him some candy. He was unsure of what exactly he had been expecting, but it certainly wasn't kindness. The boy glanced warily up at Ila, as if asking permission before he inched forward slowly. Stretching out his little hand, he accepted the orange candy. "Put it in your cheek, so you don't accidentally swallow it, 'kay?" Charlotte instructed with a smile. He nodded, gulping nervously before putting the candy in his mouth. Only once he had it tucked into his cheek did he allow himself to taste the gift. His eyes widened and he looked up at Ila, excited for a moment about the burst of tangy flavor that he so loved about orange juice. A smile and a nod was his thanks to Charlotte.
((Yeah! I'd like that ^^ Where and any plans?))
Ila watched the interaction brightly. She didn't socialize with too many guards, only those she happened to be introduced to or came to visit the infirmary. She checked up on many of them but she usually wasn't in charge of any of the ones in building 1. It made her happy that Charlotte accepted Harumu's distance and offered him a treat. The more he knew that people were capable of kindness, the more she hoped he can open up and trust some people.
She looked at Harumu and gave him a reassuring smile, nodding when he looked at her for permission. She didn't think the candy was harmful though she had never had one herself. She beamed at Harumu when he smiled, looking excited and happy which was reassuring after he'd seen Dureau. "Thank you," she told Charlotte as well.
A few moments later, Dureau did finish up getting what he needed from the librarian, bidding them a farewell, very formal and distant. He turned, planning to hunt Charlotte down but found her not too far at all. He looked at her socializing with the nurse and child. He headed over but he stopped a distance from them. "Miss Vesta," he greeted Ila, arms crossed over his chest, "none of the inmates causing you trouble?" he asked, his tone cold and hiding intent depending on her answer.
Ila looked over in surprise, feeling a chill from his closeness despite him still being a few meters away. However, she smiled at him, "Dureau," she greeted, "your inmates are always well behaved," she assured him, "but I haven't been able to see them in a while," she apologized. She was sure they would behave until she was able to get more days to be working as a nurse. However, at this point in Harumu's development, she couldn't do that just yet.

Harumu shook his head furiously, picturing Rene's soft blue eyes, not those cold ones of the man meters away. He tugged gently on Ila's dress, whispering, "Em! Em, Em," excitedly. They'd come to the library specifically to find the boy, and it seemed that an encounter with a scary man would not ruin it. He looked back at Charlotte to find her still staring at him confusedly. A cut split open on his cheek and Yoite poofed into his arms before he allowed himself to detach from Ila's side. He carefully inched as far away from Dureau and Charlotte as possible, while still trying not to seem rude. Seeing that Charlotte was still watching him, he waved her toward him. A sudden fluffy, white face peeked out from one of the aisles. Isano meowed loudly at Harumu, making him giggle happily. As fast as his little legs could carry him without running, he made his way over to the big cat, following her until she led him to Rene. Charlotte, unable to mask her curiosity, trailed a safe distance behind.
(I have no idea! But I DO know that I really wanna rp them... Like... Right now... I'm suuuuuper excited to!!! Maybe Castyn could be trying to flirt with Junko? They're both not interested and a bit oblivious, so they wouldn't get it. Maybe Castyn goes to give up but then gets an idea about Aylor's and Jun's compatibility????)
Dureau glanced at his sister, having kept her in the corner of his gaze but glanced at the cowering boy with an impassive expression but intimidating all the same. Dureau was reading the boy, unnerving to anyone to the point of making them feel akin to having someone look into their soul. "I kept my distance," he rumbled, unamused but he did at least attempt to soften his voice, as much as the rough man could. He wasn't too impressed of being treated like a dog by his sister but he basically was a rabid dog so there wasn't much he could complain about. He raised a single brow at the boy's sudden excitement, glancing at Ila as well. Dureau hoped for some sort of explanation even if it was directed towards him.
Ila looked away from the siblings when Harumu when he spoke and smiled. She was glad that his fear of Dureau and unease towards Charlotte to interfere with their plans here. "Yes, Em," she agreed, "you can go find him, he's here somewhere," she told him just before Yoite appeared. She watched him shuffled around the Labelles before racing off after another feline. She would follow after a moment but knew Dureau would follow his sister thus making Harumu uneasy. She wanted to give them some time before Charlotte was whisked away.
Ila turned to Dureau and offered him a reassuring smile when he watched his sister leave with a narrowed gaze.
"She'll be fine. I was wondering if I could ask, what happened?" She suspected something had to be amiss if they weren't here for pleasure.
Rene, of course, didn't realize Isano had disappeared since he had his nose in a book and jotting down notes in his notebook. This time he didn't have a fort, having been banned from the library since there had been an incident but was just allowed back in. He was just laying on his stomach in one of the aisles. Eventually, he did realize the heat on his back where Isano had been laying had vanished and looked up just in time to see Harumu. His eyes widened momentarily before he watched the boy approach. His expression didn't really change, staying rather blank but he was happy to see Harumu despite how impassive the boy was. He pushed himself up, sitting on his calves and his book at his knees.
((Mhmm well I don't know if Castyn would bother if he knows there is no way of anything happening.... does Junko have anything that they could drop and really almost panic about losing? Cause Aylor could find it? ))

Charlotte stopped near the entrance of the aisle. Rene was no stranger, though she found that she didn't get along too well with the child due to their drastic personality differences. Her face was once more a blank mask, her eyes sparkling curiously. A few minutes passed before she got bored. Without a sound, she turned and left, making her way back over to her brother. "Eeeeeeemmmm!" she groaned once she was close enough, wrapping her arms around his neck from behind and hanging off of his shoulders. "You scared the cute child away, Emmmmmm..." Seeming to remember Ila, she looked down at the woman, her fsce hardening a bit. She pulled her tic-tac box from her pocket and then held them out toward the nurse. "They're for Harumu, not you," she stated bluntly.
(Yes! They're phone!)
Rene's expression broke a bit, cracking at the corner of his lips when it curled up slightly. He did sense something was amiss but he lacked any proper knowledge on how to make the other kid comfortable or to help him in any way. If there was something indeed wrong and he wasn't just looking too much into it. "Hi," Rene softly greeted, wanting to acknowledge his presence properly. Speaking of presence, Rene gently picked Isano up, moving to sit crossed legged on the ground, putting her in his lap to pet. However, he glanced at the end of the aisle, having caught sight of Charlotte from the corner of his eye. He looked at her, a blank expression as he tried to recall where he recognized her face from. He didn't get along with many people but he did happen to meet enough of them. Especially since she and her brother, if Rene recalled correctly, came here for books occasionally. He still wasn't good with interacting with people. He looked away but realized what had likely happened. Her brother was someone he could remember, even if not his face specifically but he recalled the distinct intimidation he felt from the man.
Dureau glanced at his sister and rolled his eyes, "is that really surprising?" he asked his sister. He clearly was used to her hanging off him and had the build to be able to support it without being fazed. He had just finished up the weird conversation with the other woman. She was overly friendly but he could respect her trying not to push any boundaries but that was all he could appreciate.
Ila only smiled, "thank you," she told her, gently taking them from Charlotte and put them into her bag where she put mostly everything including her aid kit. "I do hope to meet again," she told them both. It would be good for Harumu to meet these two. They were clearly nice people and it would be nice for Harumu to eventually get comfortable with someone like Dureau. Tough man to be around but he clearly loved his sister. Ila couldn't ask for much though, not at this point. "If you'd excuse me," she said, bowing her head, "have a good day," she bid before she wandered off in the direction Harumu disappeared to.
((Boom. Aylor finds it and being his 'scary' but cutie self returns it... Idk from that point xD ))

Charlotte smiled that wide, child-like smile at Ila and giggled when the woman thanked her, feeling proud of herself. She returned to hanging on Dureau, nuzzling her face into the man's neck after Ila left. "Eeeeeeeeemmmmmmmm," she began, a mischievous hint in her tone. "Do we really have to leave~? I mean, I don't want you to be uncomfortable here, but I really wanna hang out with that boy!" She paused, her tone becoming darker and her arms slacking around Dureau's shoulders. "He... I read his files, Dureau... I only did it because I was curious. He might be moved into our block, y'know? But..." She rubbed her left shoulder with her hand awkwardly and then reached up to play with her earlobe. "He's been through a lot, Em." Her voice was thick with tears, her eyes sparkling but not yet watery when she finally looked at the man. "And by a lot, I mean..." She trailed off and let her head thump against her brother's chest. It was difficult for her to finish, so she let the silence hang in the air and hoped that Dureau would catch on.
((voila, I have as well >~< ))
Rene nodded when he waved, not knowing what else to say or do in response. It was usually people trying to talk to him, not the other way around or whatever. He was a bit surprised when he came closer, tensing for a moment before relaxing. Rene was never a touchy person so being close to someone wasn't comfortable for him but he relaxed rather easy when it was Harumu. Smaller distance for the traumatized boy and it made something in Rene glow, no matter how hard he ignored it. He didn't want to understand it, he was quite the scaredy cat.
"It is about moon phases," Rene murmured, glancing at the book he'd been reading. "I have been investigating the moon's effects on plants and what cycle of the moon would make the best harvesting time for specific plants for the purposes I will need them for," Rene said, rambling a bit at the end. Despite the fact, he was stuck in prison didn't mean he'd cease his investigations. It was nice to tell someone about it though, he didn't have many people he felt that he could freely talk to. Ila was nice and all but she was one of the officers in his mind.
Dureau tensed a bit, a little sensitive in that area and Charlotte knew that. He also knew she didn't really care. He smiled and raised a brow when he heard the tone in her voice, glancing down at her from the corner of his gaze. When she continued, his expression hardened for a moment. He didn't mind staying, he liked the library, it had a nice selection of books. He enjoyed reading when he had the time. However, hanging out with that child was not on his agenda. His sister wanted Dureau to come, that was clear enough but he knew he wouldn't be able to get anywhere near the kid without him succumbing to a panic attack.
Dureau tensed just as her grip got looser, knowing what was coming. "I have the first say in who comes into the building," he reminded her, the warden has the last say of course. He wouldn't accept that child in their cell, not with the crap ton of bloodthirsty monsters that were in there. They would eat him alive. It was still surprising, in a gut stabbed way, that Ila seemed to handle any of them with any sort of compassion. "He won't," he muttered, looking away at this point was forced to look back at her hearing the waver in her words. Seeing her watery eyes confirmed it and had him scowling. He raised a hand to stroke his sister's head. "Then you know I won't be able to help," he stated. He'd gone through similar things but their experiences were not only different but Dureau was not a man that could comfort a child. Just once glance had the boy frozen in fear. "I won't stop you from playing with him."

Charlotte flinched a little, lowering her head. Her fluid hair fell in front of her face, hiding it from the brother she so treasured. "I... I only found out a couple days ago, Em. I... I just want to help... I don't know how to do that... It's so...difficult not being ignorant anymore. It's so painful thinking of what you had to endure, and the fact that you kept it all to yourself..." She looked into Dureau's ice blue eyes, her own now shimmering with tears. As they began slipping down her cheeks, she muttered, "I... I just wanna help... I feel so terrible, Em. I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry." She did something she never had before—instead of curling into Dureau when she cried, she turned from him and began walking away.
Rene glanced at Harumu when he felt his gaze on him. He immediately began to blush but there was a small smile on the boy's lips. He was happy, he'd admit it. He loved plants and his job but this was something else. He had never felt this before, not really. He loved his adoptive parents but he was never close to them and they didn't really understand any of this. He looked down at his book, biting his lower lip for a moment and then flipped a few pages to the page that showed all the moon's phases. "Some plants are best to harvest during a new moon," he told Harumu, "but some of them are best to pick during the day not the night at certain times to be as potent as possible. However, sometimes you don't want the specific herb to be potent which means you want to find a time where it's grown but not to the point where it's overly potent," he murmured, having pointed to the image of the new moon. He paused for a moment, brows furrowed, "I can only do research and gather notes but I can't test anything and verify my assumptions since I'm forbidden from touching any plants," Rene murmured, his voice getting softer and quieter the more sad he got.
Dureau's expression immediately softened. As much as he liked flustering and causing her to display her cute reactions, he never liked truly upsetting her. He felt the guilt seep in for treating his sister so distantly. It was his problem that his past affected him, not her's. It was never and would never be her fault. She didn't deserve any of the retaliation. He reached out to gently wipe away a stray tear, his touch gentle despite how rough his hand was. "I know, I'm sorry," he murmured softly, though it pained him to apologize, he knew he was in the wrong. "I didn't tell you for it to weight you down," he told her, trying to get her to see that. He didn't need her to fix him, he just needed her to be here for him. That's all he ever needed.
Dureau was faced with something a second later before he could open his mouth, she walked away. She'd never done that before and it felt like a burning knife through the gut. He could say nothing as he stood there frozen for a moment, staring after his sister whom he hurt. A moment later he was following her, unable to leave her alone. He would never leave her alone again, not when she needed him. He knew she could live without him and he selfishly caged her to him. A dark cloud hiding the precious star from all seeing it.

(Okay, I just gotta say... Your last paragraph with Dureau... It's written beautifully)
Charlotte continued to cry, despite the fact that Dureau had wiped away her tears. She couldn't control her emotions, the dam in her heart cracking and little streams of feeling slipping from the breaks. It wouldn't take too much more to shatter her, but she felt that if she allowed Dureau to hold her, the entire dam would split open. And at the moment, she just couldn't handle that. She didn't have the time to. When her brother got close enough to touch her, she gently pushed him away, walking a bit faster in hopes of getting far enough ahead of him in order to have time to piece everything back together before she could fall apart. Dureau had been in so much pain, and while she too experienced her own trauma, she couldn't help but feel guilty. If she had known sooner, maybe she could have helped him, maybe she could have awoken her powers sooner and gotten rid of their father before Dureau could be further damaged. There hadn't been a moment that went by since Dureau told her about everything that happened where she didn't think that, if she had a way to go back in time, she would have offered herself to her father's whims if only to protect him.
More tears started breaking free from Lottie's grasp, several cracks in the dam growing bigger to the point where she felt she would collapse if she even looked at Dureau.
((My precious baby, my babies! omg... my heart... my heart!))
Rene was silent as he looked down at the book but he wasn't really seeing it. This whole time in prison, he'd kept to himself, stayed quiet and didn't put up a fuss. He knew he'd done a horrible thing. He'd killed people, hurt people because of what he'd done. Accident or not, he and his beloved plants had caused it. He was reaping what he sowed and it was horrible. He was pulled out of his darkening thoughts which he'd thought he was working on accepting but not allowing to consume him when he felt something on his head. He froze before he peeked at Harumu with his bright blue eyes wide. His cheeks immediately turned red but he found it oddly comforting. He sat there, allowing the other boy to pat his head that seemed to magically chase away his depressing thoughts. It nearly brought a tear to his eyes but more so, it had his heart racing from embarrassment and, well, feelings. When Harumu finally pulls his hand away, Rene still felt the heat from his hand on his head and ran a hand through his hair a couple of times. "Thank you," he found himself shyly murmuring to Harumu though was unable to look him in the eye.
((^^ All Dureau))
Dureau quickly worked to catch up with her. A silent shadow that crept after her. He followed her, desperate at this point to get her to stop. He feared that she'd break down in such a public place and reveal a weakness he knew she didn't want anyone to witness. He knew that she was at her breaking point, it was clear by how abundantly she walked away from him. She didn't want to cry, he could see that but this wasn't going wasn't going anywhere. He eventually was able to grasp her arm before she could get any further into the library. He didn't turn her around, not yet, he only stopped her from moving away before he moved against her back. He wrapped his other arm around her, the hand that had grasped her arm, releasing it to come up, pressing the side of her face to turn her head directly towards his chest and held her close. He pressed his face to her hair and rubbed gentle circles against her back. He couldn't say or do anything to comfort her. He never could be he was able to stand here and hold her for as long as she needed him to.

Charlotte, despite her momentary freeze, could not bring herself to fight against her brother's hold. In fact, she melted into his touch, burying her face in Dureau's chest in hopes of stifiling the sobs that crushed her chest and made it hard to breathe. "I... I—I," she choked, clamping her eyes shut as if she were trying to cut off the flow of tears down her cheeks. Slowly, her hands moved up to Dureau's stomach, where she clenched her long fingers around the folds in his shirt. "E-Em," she whimpered, pulling him closer though it was practically impossible. Her hands moved up slowly, gripping his shirt again once they were more comfortably rested on his chest. "Em..." The heartbroken-ness in her tone, the way her tear-thick voice cracked was enugh to signal that she was going to break down. Before Dureau could even manage to get them out of the hall, she was crying hard and sobbing into Dureau's chest, her entire body shaking.
Rene was equally as quiet but fortunately, his cheeks weren't as bright as Harumu's was but quite close. They would be if he had bothered to look at the other boy. He was a bit too flustered to be able to. Rene did reconcentrate on his book, noticing from the corner of his gaze that Harumu was working on reading the text. It was good to see he knew how to read but since Harumu was rather expressive, enough so that Rene could tell when a particular work was making him struggle. Rene didn't even notice that he had just begun watching him as he read some of the text from the book. He found it shockingly fascinating watching him to the point he hadn't realized he was. He knew there would be a lot of words in there Harumu probably didn't know, even Rene would occasionally have to search up certain words as well. He didn't really want to move away from Harumu but he gently put Isano down, got up and shuffled down and out of the aisle to find what he was looking for. It didn't take much time at all and he hoped Harumu didn't really notice his absence but that was wishing for too much. He did return and slowly returned to his spot beside Harumu and put the book down beside the one about the moon cycles.
Dureau held her close, his hand rubbing gentle circles around her back while his hand stroked her head. He pressed a kiss to her head, wanting to take away her sorrow. Maybe he shouldn't have told her about what had happened to him all those years ago. He never regretted his decision to protect her from being sold off like a lowly whore. He would do it again and again, no matter the trauma he faced from it and still continued to face. He didn't want to move her, in the hall anyone could see her, it was much safer in the library. Not as much people came to the library since they'd rather the arcade room. "I'm sorry," Dureau told his sister, moving her a bit so they weren't out in the open, supporting her shaking body entirely. "I'm here, Lottie," he murmured softly. Dureau knew there was no way he could leave her alone, he'd have to arrange things so that he could get out of his shift today. He won't be leaving her, not in this state and not after.

Charlotte tried to stifle her sobs, at least enough so they weren't as loud. She didn't want to disturb the silence of the library but also didn't want people to find her there, crying into her brother's chest. It was so bad, due to how long it had last let everything out, that she couldn't even respond Dureau, hyperventilating in-between choked sobs and violent tremors. Even when crying, despite the fact that it went against logic, she was impossibly beautiful. There was something artistic and tragically poetic about the way she cried, of the flow of it. Her skin was so pale, the lines from her make-up so flawless down her cheeks that she seemed to be a living painting of perfection. The pain in her body's curled, trembling form, screamed from her multi-shaded, shimmering blue eyes, which seemed themselves to be falling stars. For a short moment, Charlotte managed to catch her breath enough to move. She pulled back from Dureau's grasp and allowed her back to hit the bookshelf behind her. Sliding down it, she buried her face in her knees, one arm hugging a leg and the other peeking out of her raven hair.
Rene finally looked at Harumu when he scooted closer and realized how disheveled he looked making him feel better bad. He'd made people cry before but he'd never felt too much remorse from doing so until this moment. "Sorry," he murmured softly, looking down, his ears red. "I grabbed you a dictionary," he told Harumu softly, laying his hand on said, very large book. It was a bit of a challenge to carry it all the way here. Fortunately, he did know where it was kept so he didn't need to search for it. "You can find any kind of word in there and it tells you what it means," he explained softly, glancing at Harumu from the corner of his eyes while shifting a bit to get properly comfortable. "There are some words in there I need to search up to know," he told Harumu with a small smile.
((Fuckin' poetic beauty argh I wish I was as perfect!))
"How do you look so pretty after crying?" Dureau asked, wanting to distract her once she ended up in basically the fetus position on the floor, just sitting. He moved closer to crouch down before he sat down right beside her. He wasn't close enough to be touching her, but if she were to move, she would most likely brush against him. He leaned his head back against the bookshelf, one leg outstretched, almost, his knee was a bit bent since his foot was already touching the other side of the aisle. His other was propped up with one arm resting on it. "You can't say that today wasn't interesting," he murmured, his humor dry and not exactly funny but he was trying. Dureau's go to comedy was teasing her but he didn't want to even go there at this point in time. He just wanted her happy.

Harumu's eyes widened in shock and a dark blush rose over his cheeks. It was painfully clear on his face that he was embarrassed about getting so panicked. He traced the word 'thanks' on the dictionary's cover, only to think of finding the word in the huge book. Excitement in his eyes, he began flipping carefully through the pages, biting his bottom lip as he went over the spelling of the word in his mind. When he found it, he pointed at it, looking up at Rene and smiling brightly. He was proud of himself for thinking so quickly.
Charlotte rolled her eyes, lifting her head just enough so Dureau could see the movement. "You stupid... I...I'm not done c-crying yet," she sniffled, lowering her head again. Her shoulders trembled again, but she luckily didn't start sobbing. Maybe it was Dureau's shitty joke or his painfully obvious effort to distract her, but she calmed down a bit. There was still a lot more under the surface that needed to be let out, but she could release all of it during the night, when she struggled to remain in her own room.
((PRECIOUSSSSS))
Rene watched Harumu trace something on the book but he couldn't really get what he was writing without seeing it in its entirety. He patiently waited while Harumu flipped through to find the word thank and leaned over to look at it when Harumu stopped and looked at him. Seeing the word, Rene blushed and sat back before nodding. "It is no problem," he told him softly, embarrassed and unable to hide the fact his face was immensely red at this point. There was a small smile on his lips but Rene took a few moments to compose himself before looking up and over at Harumu. "We can find some books if you want to read some fiction."
Dureau rolled his head slightly to the side when he noticed she had moved and smiled at her. "My apologies, of course, you haven't," he drawled, his voice still soft but very teasingly. He knew she needed a good cry but not here, not when prisoners could be watching. It would put her more at risk as she worked and that was something he would never chance. Her life meant more to him than his own. He leaned his head back against the shelves. He debated on saying more if he could say something else to distract her. "So, there's another Em?" he asked, trying that angle and just hoping it didn't trigger any more tears.

(I really wanna bring in an aggressive prisoner now...just because Dureau said that...)
Rene was glad he seemed to really go for his suggestion. It was something out of the box for Rene. He was used to just being by himself and reading non-fiction books, thick and difficult to read. However, it didn't mean he didn't enjoy fictional novels and found he wanted to spend more time with Harumu, much more than he ever had with anyone else. Rene closed his notebook to tuck into his pocket, not wanting someone to grab it and looked up to see Harumu holding out a hand to him with a sun lipped smile. Rene was stunned for a good moment before he lightly smiled at him, taking his hand and stood up. He was blushing immensely, especially when Harumu continued to hold his hand while they wandered out of the aisle. It had Rene in an internal mess but he kept composed.
His grip around Harumu's hand tightened a bit when Harumu pressed against him, glancing at the other boy. "Some fantasy, right?" he asked, hoping to relax the boy slightly. Hoping it could even work.

((I totally meant to reply to this but I had was rushed >~< anyway, I am kind of down for it, who and what are ya thinking?))

(You said that a prisoner would take advantage of Lottie's weakness, right?)
Rene nodded and headed in the direction where fantasy novels were mainly located. He didn't realize they were going too close to the library desk for Harumu to handle until the boy pressed more into him. He stumbled a bit, glanced at him before he blushed and arched more around the desk to reach the novels. "Anything you like most?" he asked, thought paused when he realized that Harumu didn't have a way to really answer. Rene wasn't knowledgeable enough to ask yes or no questions so he pulled out his notebook and the pencil in it as they went into an aisle. "Can you write it?"
((Yes.. do you have anyone specifically in mind... cause if you don't... I think I have the perfect prisoner... I just need to figure out how he got out of solitary))

(I don't have anyone in mind! I'm open to your prisoner XD!)
Rene, took a moment longer than necessary, to release his notebook to give to Harumu. It was his life's work, all little of it he's lived. Everything he'd learned was in there. It was his most prized possession and the fact he was handing it to Harumu to write in was more significant than Rene could even imagine. Rene walked with Harumu as he went around, writing down books he was curious about. It was beginning to become quite the list. It just meant they would be spending a lot of time together reading books. It made him rather happy. It wasn't something he would never admit but it had his heart racing.
((haha I just realized I called Dureau, Devron [a character from the book I'm writing} since they both start with D i messed them up... xD anywho
