Maya is a former military pilot, now recently widowed and single mother of one daughter. The death of her husband and military past have taken its toll. But things take a strange turn when she sees something on her nanny cam that is impossible but will eventually reveal all.
I went into this fully excited to read another book by an author I have really enjoyed. I unfortunately had to put this book down about 3/4 of the way in because life happens. When I was able to pick back up it, the story had lost momentum for me. I also found the ending predictable and unimaginative. Ultimately I still liked it, but trying to tie in three stories surrounding the main character's family into one neat little package didn't do it for me. Definitely still going to read the author's other books that I have yet to tackle, despite this experience.
