((Ok. Eagerly waiting :) and wow! Ppl must like this one :) I know I do. Sorry that the detail has been lacking recently. I am stuck with my phone for the next four days, then I can get on my laptop again and be more detailed :) ))

Chase lay in bed sleeping with Lexi curled up in his arm, her head resting on his chest. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, not later than eight thirty something in the morning. The two had shared their special time together the night before, and Chase couldn't help but smile as his blue eyes opened. His head rested in the pillows, a thick blanket draped and tangled around their intertwined legs. Lexis bright red hair tickled his dead arm, but it had all been completely worth it in his opinion. Chase sighed softly, pulling the covers higher to his chin and cradling lexis body close to him as his eyelids drooped again.Then the doorbell sounded sharply, Chase's blue eyes snapping open gain. He lay for several seconds, frozen, finally lifting his head from the pillows. Who could possibly be here at the hour? He was paying his rent and bills properly, it couldn't be the landlord. His family wouldn't dare come without calling first, so that was out. Even the slightest notion that it could be his boss or coworker nagging him to get back to work was out, since he had begun to work his shifts and then some starting the Monday that week. So who was it? Chase decided he wouldn't go answer it, seeing as he was a bit... Naked anyway.
Just as he settled down to sleep again, the doorbell continually rung, a sense of desperation in the knocks that followed. Chase grumbled under his breath unappreciative of the bother, flipping back his side of the covers. Lexi was still sleeping, so he slipped out his arm gently from under er and retucked the covers. Chase stretched himself a bit stiffly, picking up his boxers from the floor and sliding them on along with a rumpled tshirt an jeans from the day before. "Coming, coming!" Chase snapped as the doorbell began to ring again, worried Lexi would awaken.
Chase didnt bother to look through the peephole, unlocking the deadbolt and two locks. The heavy door swung open, and chases blue eyes could only register one thing. Amanda. He was silent for several seconds, his eyes wide. Why the hell was she here? Lexi had better not woken up, come out of their room in something that probably wasnt appropriate, or worse- naked. Chase became highly uncomfortable, keeping the door nearly closed. "Why are you here?" He asked a little harshly, remembering how the same woman had broken his heart so crudely, after seeing that he had wings and could heal himself. His broken eart had been fixed by lexi, and he couldn't experience the same emotions again. Amanda had to leave.

Amanda had seen Chase around. It had taken her months to get over the fact that he was an angel, in fact, she would sit alone on the floor just biting her nails nervously and thinking about it. But she had tried to get over it, and after seeing Chase a few times across the street or in the hospital, she had decided that he was alright. But then he had appeared with a redheads arm hooked through his and Amanda had felt an inexplicable jealousy. It nagged at her gut until she finally decided to pay him a visit. She had the whole conversation planned out, so that when she reached the door, her perfect brown hair flat ironed pin straight as usual, she was prepared. "Chase!" She said, trying to look nervous and distressed. "I had to tell you something." She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and scuffed her toe against his doormat. "I... I missed you." She said, looking up, her large, chocolate brown doe eyes dong the puppy look. "I was so alone the past while, and afraid. You cant blame me for that. It was a shock to see wings. I would have probably left my own mother if she showed up with wings." She said, trying to sound sincere. "And... and well.... I thought of you everyday... how could I not?" She asked, giving him a small nervous smile, "I never stopped loving you."

In the bedroom, Lexi shivered a little, tucking her legs closer to her to try to conserve warmth as the heat that used to be there suddenly disappeared. The doorbells rang loudly, causing her to slowly grow out of her sleep. She frowned a little, shifting and starting to wake up as she realized that Chase was no longer in bed with her.
Chase nearly melted hearing Amanda's voice, her precious brown eyes peering up at him innocently. Her story was too persuading, chase found himself believing every word that tumbled from those beautiful lips. It was a shock to see his ex-fiancée, the woman who he would have married, the one he had shared so many nights with, the one who he spent his credit card on. In fact, Amanda made him feel so immensely guilty. She hadnt stopped loving him, yet he had given up on her, hadnt pursued the bitch even after all her heartbreaking words, those insults she had thrown at him. He bristled remembering them all too clearly in his kind, backing from the door with his blonde eyebrows furrowed over his blue eyes. "It took you a year, Amanda," chase snapped a little too harshly, to hide te fact that he did still have something for Amanda. He still loved her, even swearin his heart over to Lexi. "It took you a year, and now... I'm with someone else," chase cleared his throat, his fingers gripping the door tightly. He opened it ver so slightly, to reveal enough of his rumpled clothes obviously from the night before, knowing Amanda would know what that meant from her own experiences with him. "I'm sorry, but I'm going to ask you to leave, Amanda," chase inhaled sharply.

Amanda bit her lip slowly when he snapped at her. She wasnt about to back down though, even if he did fire words like that at her. "Im sorry! I was hurt that you didnt tell me sooner, and I was afraid of what it would mean. I was..." she gulped. "I was worried I wouldnt be good enough for an angel." She whispered, looking down.Then he mentioned the 'other girl' who amanda only guessed to be the redhead. Her fiery anger towards this other girl kindled and she clenched her fists. How dare someone come in and steal her boy!? Then the door opened agonizingly slowly. Amanda's eyes did a slow sweep over Chase and she inhaled a sharp breath. "You slept with someone!?" She cried. She bit her cheek hard to help the tears come. Her bottom lip quivered. "I guess I was wrong about you. I thought you loved me." She whispered.

Lexi sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes and yawning. As she came to, she recognized a voice. She smiled a little, recognizing it at Chase's. That brought back memories of the night before and she sighed happily. Life could not be more perfect. She stayed quiet for a moment, just listening to the voice. Then she had a thought. Why was Chase talking to himself? In fact, it sounded like he was talking to someone. Lexi picked up on a female voice and she inhaled a sharp breath. She listened for a moment, her frown deepening. The girl was asking if chase slept with someonemwhat girl would ask her boyfriend about their love life!? Lexi growled softly and hopped out of bed, grabbing one of chase's t shirts and slipping Iit on, before walking towards the bedroom door to go see what was going on.
"We had been together for what, seven years, Mands? I only didnt tell you cause I knew you'd freak out like you did! You were perfect for me, Amanda, why else do you think I proposed?" Chase sighed, a headache coming on. He should have never answered the door. He didnt understand why Amanda was back, it simply made him awfully sick and unwell. All those months after the breakup, he had been such an emotional wreck! If he hadnt had his friends at the hospital and the little ones, he knew he would have gone a little crazy. And why. Why was she back now? chase was torn between his two women, his blue eyes squeezed shut. Amanda, the one who had called him a freak and dissed the fact that he had wings, the fact that he could heal himself, the fact that he was immortal, the one who picked up and left over it after their seven years. Lexi, the beautiful girl he had fallen in love with even though she was sent to kill him, the one who became an angel for him, so they could spend the rest of their lives together. Chase made a decision firmly in his mind, but his emotions were a mess. He longed to hold Amanda again, to kiss her- but he refused the thoughts as soon as they came. He had to be loyal to his Lexi. After all, Amanda had done him too much heartbreak for forgiveness.
Amanda seemed set off by the fact that he had someone else already, but he wasnt the least bit ashamed. He did his best to look cold and unconcerned about her anger and disappointment in him, but he couldn't help but feel his heart drop into his stomach again. He hated fighting like this. "Yes! And this someone? Yeah, she's an angel, like me, Amanda! She's one of my kind, and I can count on her not to freak out on me!" Chase lost it, his voice having risen at Amanda, who stood a good foot or two shorter than him. "I did love you, Mands, I did! I thought you loved me, but I> was wrong. It's time to move on," chase managed through grit teeth, swallowing as he saw her beautiful brown eyes sparkle with tears. He didnt hear Lexi approach behind them.
Amanda picked up immediately on the struggle she saw behind his eyes. Inside, she was smiling knowingly, but outwards, she still had the kicked puppy and innocent tears thing going on. She looked up at him, stung that he would give himself to someone else so soon after they had broken up. It hurt her deeply, it really did, and she found that the tears were not so fake anymore. "If I was perfect for you, then why am I not perfect anymore?" She asked, swallowing slowly. "I made a mistake! I know. And im sorry." She hugged him, crying against his shoulder, "im so sorry." She choked out through her tears. "Please... please forgive me?" She begged. "I want you back Chase. I need you." She whispered.Lexi walked slowly and softly down the hall, her ears perked. She heard each word, and slowly picked up on the context. This was Amanda. The Amanda. It had to be. Lexi frowned, speeding up. She walked up behind chase to see a women draped in his arms. Lexi's insides boiled and her fists clenched. After her years as an agent, her first instinct was for her hands to shoot to her hip for her gun. But then she remembered that that gun was no longer there and she made up her mind to pound this girl's face in. Her eyes flashed dangerously, her wings raising in defense.
Amanda squeaked and clung to Chase harder, paling at the sight of Lexi,only in a t shirt and ready to pounce. She quickly got over her surprise, and her face contorted in anger. She could only think about how this girl stole Chase. Her chase. She wrapped her arms around him almost protectively and shot a death glare at Lexi, practically hissing at her.
Chase knew he was in trouble. Amanda was back, and he was in no condition to fight her off. He was too much of a soft one at heart, and almost embraced the woman he had loved for seven years. Heck, he was sure if Lexi wasnt living with him, he would have done it in a heart best. "Because-!" Chase threw up his arms in exasperation, sighing as he rubbed his temples. "I'm with someone now, Amanda, and I'm not giving her up," chase sighed achingly. Then, she had the nerve to throw herself against him, the perfume she knew he liked wafting up to his nostrils. That had really killed him, feeling her tears on his rumpled shirt. Chase found himself wrapping a firm arm around Amanda, tears pricking his own eyes. Now this wasnt fair."I-I forgive you," he found himself saying, his voice strained as his hand gently rubbed her back te way he always had. "But I can't be with you, Amanda, you've gotta find someone else," chase closed his eyes as he said it, planting a soft lingering kiss on her forehead. This wasnt fair at all. He was crumbling, he was weak. He was torn between the two women he loved, and found hinself teetering dangerously towards Amanda, only because they had known each other longer, gone on more dates, had almost married each other. "I'm sorry, Mands," he sighed one last time, his fingers gently reaching up to ruffle her short brown hair.
Amanda whimpered at something behind him, and he already knew with a dread that it was his redhead girlfriend. He turned his head, relief in his eyes to see the angel. At least she was wearing a tshirt, even though... It was his. Her wings were spread wide, her body tensed to pounce. All those times he had said hated, angry things about Amanda had obviously stuck in her mind, as well as pure jealousy. He moved Amanda along with himself back into the flat, closing the front door so nobody would witness anything. "Lexi, babe," chase pleaded with his eyes, shaking his head ever so slightly to cut her ct out.
His hands worked on prying Amanda's arms from his torso, feeling overwhelmed by all the pressure caving in on him. The two girls looked just about ready to go at it, their jaws practically snapping at each other. "Girls, please, just- don't do that, whatever you're doing," he pleaded, finally manging to free himself from Amanda's grip. He rejoined Lexi at her side, his back to Amanda. "I'll handle this, please, lex," he whispered, kissing her lips tenderly before giving her a pointed look. "Amanda, Lexi; Lexi, Amanda," chase introduced the girls to each other, torn between sides.
Amandacould feel him caving in, feel his walls breaking down. She knew she almost had him. She was confident in her abilities regarding persuasion, and she had no doubt that she could reel him in again. But then that stupid ginger had to come in and ruin it all. By gosh. She probably used her angel magic on him to get him, because she honestly thought the girl was too ugly to get anyone. These feelings portrayed in her eyes clearly as she walked over to Lexi slowly and offered a hand to shake.Lexi caught onto the emotions and total scorn she saw in this girls eyes. It was like she was looking down her nose at her and Lexi hated it. She grabbed the girls hand like it was something smelly and slowly shook it, trying to keep her body from the girl as much as possible.
Amanda glared, practically gowling the words she spoke. "Nice to meet you." She said it like it was the last thing on earth she would have like to have said. As she spoke, her long, perfect nails dug into Lexi's wrist.
Lexi's frown bordered on animalistic as she felt the girl start to squeeze her hand. She resisted the urge to claw her right then and there. The only thing that was keeping her back from doing just that was Chase. "And you." She forced out as if she was choking on sand. Boy she wanted to kill this woman. For chase and his pain, and because of the boiling jealousy she felt.
He could sense the bitterness in their voices, the two females looking quite ready to claw and snap at each others throats with sides he had never seen from either. The hostility and jealousy raging between the two girls had him flattered, really, but it was too much to have to deal with. Chase wanted to melt into the floor, hide out while the two girls hashed out their... Differences. With lexis new powerful abilities, however, he couldn't trust her alone with Amanda. She'd kill his ex-fiancée, no doubt. Chase rested his hand on his hips, clearly still a little groggy."Awesome," chase muttered under his breath as the girls shook hands, not saying anything as Amanda's perfect long nails dug into lexis skin. "Enough, Amanda!" Chase reprimanded loudly, his deep voice echoing in the living room. "It's great that you came to visit, Mands, but... I'm in love with Lexi, there's nothing you can do to change that," he murmured softly, in that coaxing voice he used so well. "She's an angel, like me, we fit together better than you and I would have," chase continued, his heart breaking for Amanda. "You deserve someone normal, someone who can take care of you, someone who won't keep secrets from you," he finished, standing in front of Amanda, looking down at her tenderly.
He had his back to Lexi, who was no doubt fuming. "You've gotta go, I'm sorry," chase apologized, deeply sincere and refretful that he was having to say this to her. But he justified the situation, thinking it had to be Amanda's fault for leaving for so long in the first place. She even moved everything out. Wait. But not everything. He remembered having found miscellaneous belongings of hers the past year, dumping them all in a box. "I have some of your stuff, and then... I'll wish you luck," chase barely managed under his breath, wishing he could just hug his little Amanda so tight, never let her go. He moved away from the girls a moment, opening the closet door. He found the old cardboard box at the bottom of the closet, in front of his shoe rack he never used and under all his coats that hung.
Peering inside the box, he could find a shirt or two, her perfume, a shampoo bottle unopened, several books and magazines that came in the mail, a mirror, her thing of makeup, and... Pictures. Chase stood by the closet for several moments, thumbing through the envelope of every last picture they had had together. He smiled at the perfect moments, wishing things could have gone back to the way they were, that he never met Lexi, never fell in love with the redhead so he wouldn't be feeling how he did now. There was a framed picture of the two kissing, one he enjoyed particularly. He turned he Frane upside down and rejoined the girls, handing the box over to Amanda with a distracted expression.

Amanda watched as Chase pulled out things of hers that he had kept and put then slowly into a box. Hot tears sprang into her eyes and she gulped, biting her lip. Her breathing grew heavier as she got closer and closer to sobbing. When he handed her the box, Amanda did sob, looking down at the pictures. "You're sending me away?" She asked softly. "I said I was sorry! How can you be mad at me for pushing you out when now you are doing the very same thing! At least I had a better reason then some ginger you found in the streets." She snapped, her emotions overwrought.She shook her head, letting the hot tears slide down her prominent cheeks. "I thought you were different. I thought you loved me enough to forgive me, and yet you hook up again right away." She bit her lip. "Real mature."
Lexi was starting to boil as she listened. "Get out." She hissed. "Go now. He asked you to go." She added, taking a couple defensive steps forwards. Her fists were clenched, her self control waning.
Amanda growled and turned to Lexi. "Who are you that you can tell me what to do?" She asked, shaking in anger. "You are just some girl! He actually loved me! Still does! I can see it! Hes just too chicken to admit it infront of you." She hissed. "Well I sure hope he leaves you like he did to me. And probably countless others!" She cried.
Lexi's eyes widened, deflating as if the wind was knocked out of her. She took a stumbling step backwards, her heart pounding. Did chase not really love her? Was she just another girl to him!? Her breathing quickened and her hands started to shake in fear.
Hearing Amanda cry, chase wanted to sit down and sob with her. He missed her, he did, but it wasnt right. She had left him, regardless of a mistake, and now he was with Lexi. He wasnt going to give Lexi up, after all they'd been through the past few months. "What do you want me to do, Amanda!" Chase snapped, bristling at the rude way he talked about Lexi. "She isn't some ginger I found off the streets," he growled, taking a defensive stance by lexis side. He loved Lexi, she was his girlfriend. "Don't get mad at me, you shouldn't have left, not for as long as you did! A year, Amanda, you ruined me!" Chase began to raise his voice, the two of them yelling at each other like they did the week before the whole thing crumbled."Now you come in my apartment, insult my decisions, my girlfriend?" Chase hissed in disbelief, his fists tightening as his body began to glow. "I did forgive you, Amanda, but you're too late," he recoiled at her harsh words. "A year isn't right away, and how do I know you didnt hook up with some other guy while you were gone, hm? You moved to a different city, Mands," he recounted, his voice strangled as he fought the urge to smash something. He couldn't believe she was blaming him.
He didnt stop Lexi as she yelled at Amanda, siding with her anger in this argument. He couldn't believe Amanda would say what she did, offended she would say what she did. He was knocked breathless at Amanda's next remarks, her eyes cold and unforgiving. Chase was left frozen, holding his breath as the apartment became silent. He lost his temper, cool calm and collected Chase lost his temper. "Get the f*** out of here, Amanda! I never want to see you again, get out!" Chases blue eyes were watering, humiliated she had said something like that in front of Lexi. "Stop being so desperate, you b****, stop tearing people apart, you... You WITCH!" Chase pointed at the front door, his eyes glowing a dangerous golden color, his feet hardly touching the floor as his body tensed up, towering over Amanda. "Take your sh** and leave, or I'm calling the cops," chase ended with a harsh cold tone, finding that his heart was racing. He had never been so upset before!
Lexi looked at him with such fear, actually contemplating Amanda's words. He was upset he had even considered forgiving Amanda. His arms slid around lexis waist, pressing her body close to his chest with a sigh. "Don't listen to her, Lex, she's just trying to hurt you because she can't have me back, ever," chase swore, tilting her face upwards to meet his eyes that had calmed significantly. "I don't love her, and I've never been in a serious relationship beside with you and... Her," he spat with disgust, his hand squeezing her waist and rubbing her back gently. Chase hoped that Amanda's words hadnt gotten to his sensitive girlfriend, that shed understand.
Amanda felt as if her heart had been chopped in half, but she wasnt the type of person to break down and ask for him to take her back now. Oh no. She would keep her dignity. She would stay stong and she would show them. She would show them what people got for talking to her that way. "Fine." She replied curtly. "I might do just that. Dont bother getting the door. I dont need a crutch to lean on anymore." She said, glaring at him as she opened the door and stepped outside. "Youll regret this Chase. Youll regret what you did to me. I can promise you that." She smiled a little evily at Lexi, before leaving and slamming the door.She immediately walked down to the main level and pulled out her phone, dialing a number few knew. "Yes. Hello?" She aksed once the other line was answered. "How much will it cost to pick up a girl?"
Lexi felt herself get pulled against Chase and she slowly rested her head against his chest. She felt his heart through his shirt and it made her calm a little. She nodded rather numbly, still in shock at all that had happened. In shock that amanda had shown up. It was a reminder that she wasnt the only person chase had loved, and it made her feel less special. She swallowed slowly, keeping these thoughts to herself as she hugged him. "Im..." she started after she gathered the courage. "Im not just... just another girl... right?" She asked softly.
He didn't like the way Amanda had looked at them before she left, looking a ton suspicous. B****. As soon as the door slammed shut and rattled the walls at eight in the morning, chase turned his attention back to lexi. He felt his insides churn at her concerns, disappointed that Amanda had gotten through that much to his redhead girlfriend. "Baby, you were never, ever, 'judt another girl'," chase swore strongly, his fingers absently tangled in her long red locks. "Listen- hey- listen to me," chase snapped his fingers in front of his face, his blue eyes following hers. "Don't you listen to Amanda, got it...? She wants to ruin you, but I'm not gonna let that happen," chase pressed his forehead close to hers, closing his eyes. "Can we go back to bed? I'm still a little tired," chase offered, lacing his fingers through with Lexi's.
Lexi let out a soft sigh, trying to accept what he had said. She swallowed and then nodded slowly, leaning her forehead on his chest. "Ok. Ill try not to listen to what she said." She promised. Then she nodded and smiled. "Yeah. I want to go back to bed as well. It was cold when you left..." she said, shivering as Iif on cue. The airconditioning could feel a little brisk when you were only wearing a thin tee. She tipped her head back to look up at him. "Cuddle with me again?"Amanda arrived at the designated meeting spot, looking around slowly at the streets for the person she was meeting. A tap on her shoulder caused her to jerk in surprise and she spun around, facing a tall hooded man. Only his smile was visible of his features. "What is yor price?" He asked softly, sending shivers down Amanda's spine.
Chase released a sigh of relief, smiling as a weight was lfted from his shoulders. He was glad Lexi was so optimistic about things, would listen to him and his advice. "You noticed?" Chase cringed, hiding a grin with her compliance to come with him. "Well..." His arms scooped Lexi up bridal style, admiring how soft her legs were. "Lets get some sleep," he murmured, sneaking a kiss from his beloved girlfriend. He lay Lexi carefully on her side o the bed, lexis bed that they had just taken a liking to. His shirt and jeans rested on a pile on the floor again, crawling into bed beside Lexi and her long red hair. "Much better," chase sighed, enveloped by the soft silk sheets. He had his arm tucked around her stomach protectively, the pillow tucked behind his head lulling him back to sleep at nearly nine in the morning. He whole experience with Amanda had left him unsettled, but all cares began to numb themselves as his eyes drifted shut.
Lexi smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I noticed." She replied as he scooped her up and carried her o bed. She stayed still as he lay her down and then snuggled up behind her. She smiled and sighed happily, letting her eyes drift closed. Almost immediately she was out like a light, breathing deeply and in time with her lover.Amanda bit her lip and backed up a bit, trying to regain her calm. "Anything. As long as you lure the girl away and makee sure she stays away." She said firmly.
The mans smile was more chlling than the fall air. "It will be done." He agreed, slipping off into the shadows of an alley.
((Lexi and chase wake up and go into the city maybe? Lexi needs to meet that man somehow. Hes a vampire ps. Or a demon with vampiric abilities ))
((I prefer no vampires or other weird creatures >.< maybe a turned angel, a demon would work? I might not respond to this until after practice, which starts in an hour... I'm having a hard time thinking! But I think my practice is only two hours today so hopefully I can get on))
((Yeah. It can be a demon. I dont need a vampire character for the blood thing, I need one because vampires have the power to make someone fall in love with them and obey them. I need those powers to get lexi :P and ok. Sounds good))

((Lol sure. Sounds good. Do you want them to get caught by the government ever? And so his guy is just going to be a jealousy factor? The o ly reaosn for the magic involved would be because i dont think lexi would leave chase willingly. And yeah sure. If I can get on then :)
((Maybe! But I think for now they deserve some time together, maybe they go somewher, take a vacation, idk! Jealousy sounds good, or maybe the other guy frames chase somehow... Nothing too dramatic yet, were just calming down xD ))

Chase fell asleep almost instantly, despite the sunshine streaming through her thin curtains. It wasnt easy to forget Amanda's glare, or remember how upset Lexi had been hearing Amanda's harsh words. Nevertheless, chase slept peacefully in bed, tucked up to his chin with the covers and his arm circled around lexis small waist. Nearly two hous later, chase found himself waking up once more. It wasnt usual for him to sleep in like this, but with Lexi... He sighed, rubbing his eyes and turning onto his side. Lexi was still fast asleep, looking innocent and peaceful as she slep. Chase gently stroked her hair, attempting to lure her out of sleep so he wouldn't be lonely. He was worried for her, his lips pressing to her temple.
Lexi slept for a long time, and incredibly well considering how on edge she was after that unexpected visit from Chase's ex. Her dreams changed at some point, and she felt as if she was getting her hair brushed. But it felt surprisingly real. She felt as if she really could feel that hair brush, and she smiled softly, "feels good..." She whispered as her eyes slowly opened. When grey met blue, she held his gaze for a moment before breaking into a smile. "well hullo there." She whispered, kissing him gently.
