"Sure." She smiled and went to go have lunch with her friends. She kept thinking about the prophecy and what exactly Tartarus had in mind.

At his table everyone was trying to find out who had gotten the quest. Chiron had asked him to not say anything until they left. When he got questions from his siblings, he just shrugged.
Selene smiled and popped in her opinion about stuff her siblings were talking about but we mind kept wandering to Tartarus.
After lunch Chiron announced a surprise capture the flag tomorrow, the day before they left. The cabins were left to figure out alliances and such. Castiel was excited about this, as he really loved playing capture the flag.
"Alright people,let's go find some allies!" She smiled at her siblings. "I say we should have Hephaestus on our side." She smirked,passing a grin to Castiel on his table.
He immediately saw Selene grin at himself and announced to his siblings, "were gonna want the Apollo cabin and their fire power." He commented, receiving a round of agreement.
"Is it because your boyfriend is in that cabin?" One of the girls asked smirking and she smirked back. "Yes and it's also because I'm cabin leader and I know who's best to team up with."
He easily got his siblings to agree and made his way to the Apollo cabin to get things arranged. "You with us selene?" He asked. "Who else should we get to be with us."
"Ofcourse were with you." She smiled. "We have Aphrodite cabin on our side too and Artemis cabin."
"Hmmmmm, let's see if we can get Athena too, we could use their strategies." He replied. He didn't like the idea of having ares and Athena on the same side.
"Yeah I was thinking the same thing." She replied."let's go talk them into joining us." She said with a smirk.
They both walked over to the Athena table. "Hey, we have Apollo, Hephaestus, and Aphrodite so far and we could really use you guys for battle strategy, whaddya say?" Castiel asked.
Selene smiled at the head of the Athena cabin. "Cmon mark" she pouted,giving him the puppy eyes. "We need your brains." Mark laughed and nodded. "Sure we'll join you guys. I hope we get good arrows in the future." He smirked and Selene smirked back."oh done."
"Perfect, any other cabins we want? Me and my siblings will get right on some traps and stuff. We're gonna win this!" He said grinning at selene.
"Ofcourse we will!" She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before going off to discuss the game strategy with her cabin members.
Castiel had some time so he decided to finish Selenes bow. He fitted the end caps and fused the grip to the wood. When he was finished, he went to the testing range, he tried a few shots. The rare wood was incredible, he'd never seen arrows fly faster! The bowstring was made from the tendon of a drakon, and was the best of the best. Impossible to cut through, strong, and had almost no side to side vibration after the shot. It was a great bow. He put it in its case and walked it back to his cabin, stashing it under his bunk.
The game was about to start and she got her cabin members together as she explained the strategy to them then let the Athena cabin take over. They might just win this game.
He joined Selene as they made last minute battle preparations. He was in his armor, though it didn't look like hit. He had improved upon his past clothing armor and made it sturdier and able to block more force than the old shirt one he used to war. He was the only one there who looked dressed like a normal person, everyone else had full battle gear on because he was reluctant to give up his armor techniques in case it fell into the wrong hands. He turned to Selene and said, "everything ready? My cabin has traps rigged all over the place, mostly pits and leg traps. What's my role in the assault?"
"We're the attackers." She told him. "And knowing you I know we can easily capture their flag." She said and continued to tell him the rest. "Artemis is guarding and the rest are scouts." She explained then got in position. She was wearing the shirt Castiel had given her,under her own shirt.
"Sounds like a plan. Are we flanking or going right through?" He asked taking his position, waiting for the horn to sound. He had his sword drawn and a dagger strapped to his leg.
"Whichever seems best." She replied and waited along with him,as the Athena cabin told the final strategy plan.((Sorry i might be bad at rping a capture the flag game. Never played it if know the elaborate way you play it XD I just know the basics.))
((No problem, flank just means attack from the side and right through is just straight at the enemy. You're doing great.))"Ok, we'll attack from the side. I'll lead a group straight up the middle and distract them while you take them by surprise from the side. That should cause enough confusion for one of our groups to get to the flag." He told her. She nodded and with that, the horn blew, signaling the start of the game. Castiel led his group noisily through the forest, right towards the enemy while Selene snuck around the side. The enemy was in sight, "let's go!" He shouted and with that, his group charged.
Selene leg her cabin and Athena cabin took the other side. The Artemis cabin,a few in number,were divided amongst them both. She saw an enemy up ahead and motioned for her team to take them out quietly. They silently took out the enemies and progressed further and further. She saw Castiel and ran towards him stealthily. "Let's go get that flag." She whispered.
"Alright, I'll lead the main assault, and once we engage, you guys try to sneak around and grab it. We'll be right behind you to defend you to the creek. Got it?" He asked, examining the spot where the flag is, thinking there must be a trap set there for them. "Alright, here we go." He said advancing with his group cautiously.
She nodded and went to find the flag. It was by the creek and she knew there would be no way in hell,there wouldn't be a trap there. She decided to send an Athena camper ahead so they could figure out what their next step should be.
Castiel and his group snuck into the clearing where the flag was, seeing Selene and an Athena camper watching intently. Just as Castiel and his group stepped into the clearing, a dozen ares campers jumped out of the trees and engaged him and his group. He fought and disarmed a few campers then noticed Selene grab the flag. "Fall back to the creek and defend the flag bearer!" He yelled at his forces, racing to defend Selene.
Selene grabbed the flag and kicked the first camper who tried to attack her. Soon she was surrounded by the ares cabin but defended by Hephaestus. She smirked at the ares cabin leader as he ran towards her trying to grab the flag. She kicked him in the groin and as he bent over she cartwheeled off his back and kicked him from behind. The horn blew signalling the end of the game.
"Nice Selene! That's my girl! Way to kick some ass!" He yelled, giving a bright smile at the ares camper Selene had kicked in the groin. "Haha, you guys got your asses handed to you." He called to the kid on the ground who just groaned. "Nice job! Let's go celebrate!"
She grinned and went back with Castiel by her side. "This was a fun game." She smiled. "I'm hungry now." She pouted and ran to the dining pavilion,eager to have some food.
Castiel ran after her, laughing as thy raced to the pavilion. "Haha, well, that was a pretty great last day at camp huh?" He asked when they got there. He loaded up on the BBQ and scraped some off into the fire, muttering a prayer to Hephaestus to keep them safe on their journey.
She did the same for Apollo and then turned to him and nodded. "I had almost forgotten about the quest, this was a great distraction." She laughed and then started eating. "I hope we win against Tartarus. I know it won't be easy but it's not impossible."
"Definitely not impossible. We can totally do this." He said to her before he went to his table, which was filled with excitement and buzz about the victory from the capture the flag game. He sat down to a lot of congratulations for partly spear heading the whole thing, but he told them the real hero was Selene.
After they were done with food she got up to go pack up for the quest. Her cabin was giving her tips on how to win against them. Soon she met the Athena cabin and they told her everything she should know about Tartarus.
Castiel went off to pack as well. He grabbed a bag and in it, he placed a few contraptions, rope, duct tape, a knife, and some ambrosia and nectar. He then put it next to Selene's new bow he'd made. He couldn't wait to see her face tomorrow morning when he gave it to her.
She went to bed early and even though she tried to sleep as soon as possible, she couldn't,she Kroger tossing and turning. She slowly crept out at night and headed to the lake and sat there,looking at the stars. Tomorrow was gonna be the start of a dangerous journey.
When Castiel woke, he gathered his things and said goodbye to his siblings. He met Selene at the top of the hill, looking down over the camp. .He pulled out the case and handed it to her. "This was supposed to be for your birthday, but I figure you will need it on the quest. So, happy birthday Selene. I made it out of some pretty rare stuff, so please try not to break it." He said.
Selene smiled as Castiel joined her but when he gave her her gift,she broke down in tears. "Cas..." she said admiring the bow and the arrows. "It's so beautiful. It's so grand I'm afraid to use it." She laughed. "I won't let this break don't worry."
He smiled at her emotion. "Don't worry babe, the wood is practically indestructible anyway, same with the bow string, drakkon tendon." He explained, filling her in on the materials used to make the weapon. He pulled her in for a kiss and then held her for a moment before they continued down to the pavilion where they would grab a quick breakfast, and then depart.
She stood there in his arms,just admiring this perfect boy before her who had somehow fallen in love with her and her with him and now they were practically inseparable. They had been through som much,he brought her back from the dead! How does a boyfriend get any better? She sighed and walked back with him to the pavilion. She smiled softly at all her friends as they wished them luck for their quest.
After breakfast, they both walked out of the pavilion, happy and holding hands. "Selene, I've been thinking and I've got no idea where we should go first. We're supposed to find an army, but where? What do you know about Tartarus?" He asked her, hoping for some guidance.
"We could ask Chiron." She said not knowing anything either. "Whe e would Tartarus be?" She wondered out loud. "I think this is going to be even more difficult than I thought."
"Wait, what is that place where all the ships and planes disappear and such? The one with that dangerous name? Couldn't there be an entrance there that we don't know about?" He asked, half to her, half to himself.
"Are you referring to the sea of monsters? Or the Bermuda Triangle?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "Both are highly dangerous."
"I think the sea of monsters. There had to be an opening in there, right? I mean we're looking for a monster army, so, why not there?" He reasoned out. It made some sense to him.
"That makes sense." She replied. "How will we ever cross it without dying though?" She sighed. "Last I checked monsters and demigods don't get along."
"Ah, yes, that could pose a problem. I know how to Hotwire a boat, so we can borrow one, but we might need to get our hands on some kind of disguise or cloaking device." He said, trying to puzzle together how they could do it.
"Oh we could ask Hermes for help." She replied. "I'm sure he has cloaks and such that'll help us."
"Great idea! That's awesome! But, i don't exactly know how to summon the god of travelers and messages." He said, hoping Selene would have an answer for him. She usually had a trick up her sleeve, and she knew a lot of olympians so hopefully she knew a way.
"Well we'll have to go to his temple Ofcourse and then we can summon him and ask for his help." She replied. "We should get going by now."
"Ok, lead the way darling." He said, feeling kinda bad that he was asking her to lead when it was his quest. He was putting a lot of pressure on her.
