G.G. | 238 comments Might I trouble a librarian to add the publication date--1969--to the entry for The New Generation In Meiji Japan; Problems Of Cultural Identity, 1885 1895please? Currently it shows up on my bookshelves as "unknown" date of publication.
Many thanks in advance!

Many thanks Ellie: but alas, the problem isn't fixed yet! See: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
which still shows Pyle's book as "date pub. unknown."

1. Shelves.
2. Click settings.
3. Uncheck Date Pub. *
4. Check Date Pub (Ed.) **
5. Voila

* Date the book was first published.
** Date the shelved edition was published.

For technical issues please post in the Feedback group.

Hope that helps. :)

Arenda, thank you so much for adding this original publication year: that's the one I like to use on my shelves, rather than the date of the edition I read.
