Ebook and paperback editions of an individual comics without ISBN.
I am not sure what would be the correct merge target (if there is one at all) as I don't know what the content is. The cover is similar to Meer-Katz but I am quite certain it is not identical in content - most importantly, the title is missing from the cover.

Elizabeth (Alaska) They get deleted. Comics without an ASIN or ISBN do not belong in the database.

David Raz (davidraz) | 13055 comments The problem is how to do it when the merge target is unclear.

Just delete them via the "delete this book" option on the edit page.

These comics seem to have an ISBN

David Raz (davidraz) | 13055 comments Of course, not having a clear merge target, I can't delete the last edition. Can a superlibrarian/staff address this please? Or maybe someone can suggest a proper merge target.

I don't think (hope) regular librarians can do that?? The link appears grey to me. And I've only ever seen one or two supers delete books without merging, the rest leave it to staff.

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments but the delete link is always grey lethe :) (there's no difference if there's a target to merge or not as far as I know, just the normal librarians can only delete if less than 5 ratings/x shelvings rule)

lethe | 16359 comments Lol, I had forgotten that about the grey link :D

If there is no target to merge, only supers and staff can delete though, regardless of shelvings. In that case we regular librarians will always get the error message "too many shelvings", even if there aren't any.

Yes, I think that is true, however, perhaps Rivka can clarify.

Librarians can delete completely a book with zero shelvings.

Good to know. This one, however, has 5 shelvings. Can you please delete it?
