As you may notice, the author of the book is listed as Antonio López. Now, on the cover of the book (which I have yet to upload), the author is listed as "Antonio Lopez" without the diacritic above the 'o' in Lopez. I have tried to change this several times and failed. Somehow, it defaults to "Antonio López" which is incorrect.

I have checked the author page and the URL is:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Notice that where the 'ó' was supposed to have been, there is an underscore character in the URL. This made me suppose initially that both "Antonio López" and "Antonio Lopez" were already being treated differently by the system. Now I am beginning to think this may not be so. I just need a confirmation on this.

If both names are being treated as the same name, then to make a disambiguation, I would insert an additional space between the first and last names to make sure that the author name refers to another author other than the one incorrectly listed. It appears that the one listed is the name of a fiction writer, whereas the one I am trying to add is a software engineer. The British Library records this difference by adding the words (software engineer) to the first name:

The Librarian Manual makes no mention of how to deal with names with diacritics so I have to ask here. I think it would be useful to have this information in the manual.

Here is the MARC display for the book from the British Library:

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments IF López and Lopez are separate authors, can you identify which works belong to which gentleman?

Actually, here are the various Antonio Lopez-es we have:
Antonio López 1^
Antonio Lopez 2^ (Goodreads Author)
Antonio Lopez 3^

I can identify the works of Lopez only. The other guy, I will have to do some research.

As it turns out, the author I am referring to is none of the above. Additionally, the third one you have listed, it seems, is supposed to be with the diacritic.

*Edited*
See LCCN Permalink: https://lccn.loc.gov/2013388470
for the 3rd Lopez (López, by right) in your list.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments As a Librarian you can use this link and move the https://www.goodreads.com/author/disa... and move the books for the wrong author to Antonio^^^^Lopez (4 spaces). Let me know if you're not confident and I can do it.

Wow. That's a really neat tool. Done! And thanks!

By the way, where do I find this tool? I'm seeing it for the first time!
