Paperwhite's "Reading List" feature - useless?

From the home screen of my Kindle Paperwhite there a menu item "My Reading Lists". It's in quite a prominent place - second only to My Library - yet it seems to be completely redundant.

I thought it might be a solution to that ever-present Kindle issue of how to order the books in a series/collection but it seems there's no actual functionality to the My Reading Lists screen.

Has anyone worked out what it's for and how to create lists?

Yeah, that is one of the things that annoys me with mine, so I'll be interested to hear people's replies.

Don't think my voyage has that. Have never noticed and been annoyed by it, anyway.

Can't say I've ever noticed it on my Paperwhite either.

According to the manual, this section shows you items on your Goodreads to-read list and on your Amazon wishlist, and samples you've downloaded.

A proper reading-list function on the Kindle would be very useful.
