What do you think the Lincoln represents to Mickey?

I think we've yet to figure out why these Lincolns are so important to Mickey. He certainly isn't interested in any other make and I think there's a reason for that beyond just liking the car. I wonder if it's what his father drove. He seems to be modeling him to some degree.
