I'm glad you loved it too.
There's so much in so little a book..I don't know how he did it!
The addition of the magical doors was very clever, wasn't it? It made the journeying aspect instantaneous, and something he obviously didn't want us to concentrate upon.
So glad to see other people reading this and loving it.
This is a story that has everything: strife, war, fear, family, love, friendship and magic. There's symbolism enough to make me keep thinking about it for days, and I'll return to it for the writing. I loved it.
