Pick For Me Challenge - May 2017

I get it Tessa! I just finished Convicted, and now I'm conflicted!!! Hahaha! I don't know whether to start Queen and the Cure or wait for Mia Asher's book tomorrow....or one of the many others waiting for me and calling my name!

:D Queen and the Cure. So far so good, even if I'm not far into it yet. I honestly read two chapters and fell asleep. And that's ONLY because I kept waking myself up enough times to finish chapter two.

DNF - MY FIRST TIME EVER *GASP* Robin was right Hausfrau is not for me, I probably shouldn't have even added it to my TBR. That ending and issues through out are my HARD LIMITS!

OMG it's almost June??!! I haven't even finished my 1st May challenge read and I started it in April! I think I'm going to have to DNF for now. It's not a true DNF because I am liking it, but I can't stay focused.

Heck Yeah! It was super emotional. The biggest complaint actually didn't bother me at all, and I loved it. It made the book feel more real to me.

I was looking at June's TBR challenge. It's Bev's I need my girl by The National influenced choice. I'm picking Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It's the only one I know will match that lyrics that isn't about a stalker. (Nothing wrong with the lyrics. I just can't read a blurb and know if a guy is going to be all sweet and really stronger with a girl from it.)

My mottled brain needs help with June. Can I please get suggestions of ways to interpret it to help me pick what kind of book to read??

To keep track, I put it in a pile called bob, best of books. That way, at the end of the month, I don't feel totally overwhelmed. lol There were a ton of good books. I got lucky this month. :D

Yes, Leslie! I should have said that I need suggestions of ways to interpret THE THEME! I am TERRIBLE at matching music with books. Sorry if that didn't make sense.

Oh. I looked at it as either, based on the video, a book about dancing, or, based on the lyrics, a song about someone who loves someone so much, they literally feel a need to be with them (Thus the stalker comment).

Aflame! That's kind of the point of that book. Jared can't find himself because all he does is need Tate. I'm going to be honest though. It's far from her best one.

I just realized that I also have Falling Away on there too. I need to check to see if I've read that yet since it comes before Aflame (I may have read it during the time I stopped rating books on GR). The blurb sounds familiar, but I could be getting it confused with another book.

I saw music theme so I'm doing one of the Sinners on Tour books because ROCK BAND

I wasn't sure how to interpret bev's challenge either. I could do Sinners on Tour too! I'm up to book 5 (Double Time). What book are you guys up to in the series?

But there's also another book calling my name that could work too. It's getting really great reviews!

I'm out of order on my Sinners books since when I was actually waiting for the next rush the publisher decided or author to release out of order! Why then call them book 1, 2, 3 etc?

Ela, this should help. The original Sinners release was set as originally 1,5,2,3,4. The author changed it as soon as she could, because that 5 book was the fifth, and she wanted the books in order of story.

Tessa, yep. I was waffling between 4.5 and 5 stars. it wasnt quite 5 for me so I stuck with 4.5 stars. But, definitely a great book. Tijan really nailed it.

Jean--I'm at #3 in the Sinners on Tour series. As I've mentioned before somewhere in these threads, I started Double Time when it was originally #3, but then I decided to wait for the other two, and I never went back to the series.

And I want to read At This Moment too!

Jan--I'm not a fan of menage either. At. All. There are certain authors who I can tolerate it with (Joey W. Hill and Cherise Sinclair), but I never seek it out--I ONLY read it if it's part of a series where I don't want to miss the progression of the story line. So...I guess I'll grin and bear it with Double Time. 😬

My sister just married someone she met on Tinder over a year ago! He's an awesome guy and we all love him, so online matches DO happen!!

My sister went out with at least 15 different guys over a 6-month period, I think. And actually, several of them were pretty good catches, but she really ended up with a great one!
