Ed | 48 comments How many hours a day do you read? Does it depend on the day? And where do you like to read? Anywhere? Or a great chair, in bed, outside?

message 2: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kathryn3) | 33 comments I always wish it was more hours!
So, so many more hours.
For leisure, I read in/on a bed; or outside (in a well-chosen park).
For study, I generally have to read sitting up. More alert and to the task!

Katherine (never_not_reading) | 5 comments I try to read an hour a day minimum. Usually in the morning, since I tend to fall asleep if I read in bed at night. I feel off if I don't read every day!

Cindy Walsh (cindyrunner) | 25 comments I try to read at least an hour a day too but I don't always get the time because of work and household things. I like to read on my comfy couch or on the bed before I go to sleep. Reading relaxes me so it helps me fall asleep.. I wish I could spend more time too reading. Maybe when I retire.

I read in the bathtub and in bed, it helps me fall asleep and sometimes makes me fall asleep not because the book is boring but simply because it became a habit :D I also read in public transport but only when my trip takes more than 10 minutes :) I read every day and the time depends but mostly it is 15-20 minutes in bed and about an hour while bathing (of course longer when the book is so awesome that I can't stop)

Lucas Moyers (HoorayBookworm) I spend at least 1 to 2 hours a day reading. If the book is really, really good and captivates my attention, I will expand my hours and read it until I don't feel like reading anymore. My go to reading place is my room, where it is filled with books on every shelf and in every nook and cranny. I also occasional will read at the local library if I'm there and I'm waiting for someone at the library and very rarely at the local bookstore, but for the most part I read in my room :)

K. (goodreadscomkatie_s) | 6 comments I can read an hour before I get tired and have to take a break. I usually can read 50-100 pages a day before I get tired or 50 pages an hour. It depends on how compelling the book is for me. I usually read before bed since I can minimize distractions and I'm more of a night owl.

That makes sense because I heard reading reduces stress more than music! It improves memory if you do it at least an hour a day.

Erin (nahokuangelxo) | 33 comments I read all the time. I like to read at my dinning room table when I read a real book lol. When I read on my ipad I like to read in bed or on the couch.

Perysh | 5 comments I used to read a book a day, but then i got out of the habit. I miss it and i need to dedicate time to it to get back into it. I miss it.

Ege (egepal) | 1 comments I wish I could read like I used to in the past. But i cant read like that anymore, but I'm on it! I read like an hour in a normal day but if i'm free and liked the book im reading, i can read like 7-8 hours..

Ed | 48 comments agreed--how much? Great comments

Isabella | 1 comments I used to read everyday but now it's hard to find even 10 minutes to read, because I just got a new puppy and need to keep an eye on her every second 😜

✨ABookGirl✨memoirs are my jam✨ (abookgirl1) | 42 comments This is my first summer vacation as a teacher...I read 5 books last week. I feel like I have a hangover. I really want to commit to reading at least 1 hour a day during the week and more on weekends.

message 16: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 6 comments Such fun questions! I used to read everyday all day on the weekends when I was out of school when I was younger, and I long for that now. But usually, I read during my lunch break and any other time I can get a moment of solitude. I've always read in the same place though: on a tufted corduroy floor pillow leaned against my bookshelf next to a window. It's my favorite place in the corner of my room.

Victoria Kear (sweetvic14) | 3 comments I generally read at night in bed but also love to relax in the bath and read for an hour or so. I try to read every day ( I do most of the time) depends how tired I am. I will read anything! I give anything a try and I have to finish the book, that's just me! 📚💜📖📕📓📑📒📔📘📙

Library Nymph (librarynymph) | 2 comments I like to read in the bathtub, in my favorite chair with a cup of tea, outside when the weather's nice, or even outside when it's rainy, as long as I have shelter from getting wet. I read all the time. Several hours a day, but I've never really officially timed it. Somehow, having a nice stack of books to read through makes me feel safe and happy. :)

message 19: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (tayylorrmayyy) | 2 comments I read everyday for at least two hours, sometimes more. It just depends how busy I am that day.
I usually read before I go to bed or in the late afternoon.
I love to read on the couch in my bedroom or at the park behind my house.
I love reading so much! I have a nook in my room with two bookshelfs, filled with books, which have all been read!

message 20: by Pam (new)
