Can you try to explain the first one at least? I can kind of figure out the others based on the names.
Well it was the first Godzilla movie of that era, and a lot of people consider it to be a bit boring and 'safe', it didn't take as many risks as future movies like Godzilla vs Biollante or Godzilla vs Mothra: Battle for Earth did. I kinda agree, I think it's boring and bland. The ending is great, but the rest of the movie is eh. So that picture is making fun of that.
Ah that makes sense. The same image in the Fallout meme I posted is because "Yes Man" is a robot who literally cannot say no. He's programmed to always help and you can plot with him to stab his "boss" in the back. Which I did. And by stab him in the back, I mean blast him in the face with shotgun shells >:D
I know who Yes-Man is, both my baby brother and my mom play Fallout, so I know a ton about its lore and characters. Same with Skyrim.
I guess I'm siding with Mr House in NV. I don't see how to side with the other factions and I don't want to look it up or have someone tell me.
It reads "Something which has never occurred since time immemorial; a young woman did not fart in her husband's lap"What the heck that even means, I don't know.
Mom says she has no idea why people think past generations were super sophisticated and fancy, like I told her about those markings and how disappointed historians were that they were just stupid quotes and she was like: "Well what were they expecting?!"
More ancient pictures to show we were always nerds

Reminds me of that post on Tumblr where someone was making joke captions for famous paintings and it was really hilarious lol
So if anyone tells you that those who came before us were mature and sophisticated, you show them the paintings of cherubs making fart bubbles and bulls pooping :p
That fart bubbles painting actually is a really beautifully-done painting and I'm not even making a joke :P
Reminds me of this series on Netflix my mom and I watch together. Basically, each season covers the biggest events of that decade in an episode, like technological advances, foreign relations, music, minority movements, the president, etc. with interviews of people and celebrities who lived in that time period. There's 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. It's a super fascinating series and very educational. But the thing I always take away from it is the fact that....people back then act the same way we do now. Like people in the 1980's complained about the same exact crap we complain about in the 2010's.
And that's really interesting to me. I guess with everything that changes, so many things remain the same.
I regret getting on Pinterest >.< I still need to do the dishes and I'm seeing more stuff just blatantly trashing men. As in wishing it was illegal for all men to go outside after like 8 or 9 PM, calling all men idiots, perverts, murders, etc.I don't appreciate that. Not. One. Single. Bit.
If those people took time to know me, they'd realize I get upset when I hurt a butterfly. So why would I dare hurt another human on purpose, outside of self defense?

They hated how kids just sat around watching TV all day instead of talking to each other or going outside; they thought TV rotted their brains. They also thought their food rotted their bodies(to be fair, half of the food in the 80's was sooooo unhealthy) The kids complained that their parents just didn't understand them and that they wanted to do whatever they wanted. Liberals complained about the president in office and they wanted more rights for blacks and women.
Mom says as a kid, her typical diet was super sugary cereal, Coke, Mc'Donald's, Poptarts, Spagetthi-O's, Ecto-Cooler(which she says isn't worth the hype), and Lunchables. She says she remembers Lunchables being invented and how fascinated her and her sister were at the idea; they hadn't seen anything like it before.

My parents are always like "we left and didn't come back until it was dark"
Okay...good for you. I'm not you. I don't LIKE doing that, I don't have friends to do it with, and I don't wanna be kidnapped or murdered more easily.
I wouldn't call wanting more rights for women and blacks complaining. That's called being a decent human being.

Oh wow. I eat ((and when I was younger still)) way better than that. I avoid fast food whenever I can (9which isn't nearly as much now >.<)) and eat Cheerios most mornings.
My mom says she just stayed in her house and read all day, or every so often went to the movies with her mom. She didn't think it was very safe to do that.

She says food for children back then was so super unhealthy because there wasn't any laws or rules out yet to cut down on fats and sugars.

I haven't exactly done research into food production and inspection in the 80's :p
Hey! Did you know my parents met each other in an Internet chatroom???? I love telling people that because they probably assume they met in a super sophisticated way like at a dance or something because it was the 90's, but nope, they met in a chatroom. They even lived in totally different states at the time.
Yes you have :pMy parents met in a...school parking lot? IDR. But my dad said his name was Fred
I forgot what year exactly it was, but my dad was a bit older than my mom was. I believe they met when she was fourteen and he was....twenty-two I think?
