I feel you, this summer has been fairly boring for me so far, but it has just started. Maybe it'll get more exciting later on.

This is the northernmost part of the South. In fact, I only think we're considered South because of the side Virginia took in the Civil War :p
And that is exactly why I don't consider you a true southern state :P You're like Diet-South :P

It's impossible to avoid stereotypes.
I didn't say that, but if I'm not ""Southern" I'll avoid THOSE stereotypes, which I'm cool with. I've no problem with people not automatically assuming I hate anyone who isn't heterosexual because of where I'm from, things like that.
I actually like Southern stereotypes though! Except the bad ones. I remember when we moved back here I would tell people I was originally from Mississippi and they'd ask where my accent was haha.
Like what stereotypes? The only ones I ever hear about are ones related to food and thus obesity, being homophobic Christians who shove their beliefs down your throat, being racist and political beliefs ((including idolizing that sexual predator in the Oval Office)). Oh and guns and Confederate Flags. Can't forget those two.

I think I m9ght get rid of my journal. It's never used as a journal but rather a chat thread and most of the people who comment are in other groups I'm in so I can just talk to them there.And when I DO use it as a journal it's my whining like a little brat.
