Okay such a quick read. I was able to ignore the typos. It's interesting that this is a middle school read, but more of a YA topic with drugs and murder involved. I thought the story was realistic. The guilt Ruby had over her friend's brother. I would say 2.5.

Well said! I was thinking the same thing about it being a middle school book and having drugs and murder in it. I found the book to be very one-note...It seemed like a very short story that was drawn out way too long.

I started (and finished!) it today and agreed with your rating - 2.5.

I found it hard to believe there were two Josh Tipps with so much in common - If the author had chosen a more common last name I would have found that part more believable.
